Dr Liz, one of our wonderful veterinarians, did a superb job getting Little Cat back to full health. We were all relieved to see him pull through so quickly after his unpleasant experience with a paralysis tick (Ixodes holocyclus).
We look forward to seeing Little Cat and Rascal back soon…but hopefully just for a routine vet check 🙂

One of the hardest things my husband and I have ever done was take our much, much loved Toy Poodle Milly to Rathmines vet yesterday to have her put to sleep. We’ve had many dogs put to sleep over the years, but never have we received care like we did yesterday. The compassion was beautiful and all the staff were so caring.
I’d recommend Rathmines vet to anyone wanting a caring, knowledgeable vet, with lovely staff. Every time we took Milly to him he explained everything in detail and also explained, step by step what he was going to do. He made a horrible visit tolerable and treated us and Milly in a dignified, loving way.
Thank you again David, Lucy and the other staff for your care and compassion on what was a horrible day.

We are all deeply saddened to have said goodbye to little Milly this week. However, the quality of life and the safety and security you gave that little doggy in the second half of her life when she came into your care is a credit to you both.

My dog needed emergency surgery and Rathmines veterinary hospital were able to get me in straight away , actually within 30 minutes of my phone call to the vet .

The vet was amazing and got my fur baby straight in and he was terrific with my dog .
I recommend the service and waiting time non existence.. I was surprised by how quick the problem was resolved.
However if I have one issue , it would be the cost .
For a surgery that has been done before by another vet the cost this time was near triple the cost last time from $800
To a whopping $1800 .
Service and wait time could not ask for better but the price could be more reasonable for everyday people , we can’t all afford those prices and in an emergency you feel a little cornered you want help for your pet but not sure how you will afford it is not a nice feeling.
You feel like your heart string is being pulled to your purse string …

Our greyhound got a very, very nasty stomach bug this week. The team at Rathmines Vets were fantastic in their treatment of her and in explaining the condition to us. They treated her as an emergency patient in the morning and then later that day when we had to bring her back. The visits that day caused a lot of inconvenience to the staff but they dealt with it so well and made us feel that our girl was in great hands. They also called us several times to see how she was doing with her at-home treatment both on the day and afterwards. We are very grateful for that , and that we could bring her in as it was a very scary experience!

We attended here for nearly a year in that time we had a lot of visits, our beloved dog Fifi was diagnosed with diabetes. In that time we found the staff absolutely fantastic. The genuine care and service they provided Fifi and ourselves with we are very grateful and thank you 😊 best vet clinic 🥰

We regularly visit Rathmines Veterinary Hospital with our pup, Arlo. We started visiting as early as Arlo’s vaccinations and attended puppy school.
As a puppy he has managed to get into all sorts of mischief but Dr David and all of the team are always very knowledgeable and professional, the best part is they take great care with Arlo which we love.

Such amazing staff. So kind, full of Knowledge. Will absolutely go back there. My Pup loved the ladies and even though he was having his nails done, they left him on the floor so he didn’t freak out and he gave them loads of kisses and cuddles.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful Dr David C (Irish David), Nurse Hayley and the whole team have been to us this week. Dr D described it as the week from hell and that it was!
We have spent the last 5 days in and out of the vets and they are 5 stars! They are responsive, dedicated, empathetic and caring.
When we found out our cat needed emergency surgery Dr D opened his surgery late last night to do an emergency operation on her.
We brought her home this morning and she is groggy but sassy and we are unbelievable grateful for the help they gave us.
You don’t need to look any further than here for someone to care for your furbabies.
