Please avoid taking your animals to AEC.
Go to Peninsula Emergency Vets in Mornington as your dog won’t be cared for at AEC
I took my dog to AEC on 21/8/24 at 11pm
The vets are inexperienced, they failed to care for my Jack Russell, he was left in terrible distress, but with shortness of breath. When the did act he was given a large dose of Frusemide even though all indications were he was NOT in, heart failure.
The vet had no idea what he was doing.
They demanded money then didn’t treat him. At midnight he was still very distressed after not receiving appropriate care.
His blood test showed he was dehydrated however the continued to give him Frusemide he became severley dehydrated and had a stoke.
We were forced.to euthanase him.
We are so devestated by the lack of care shown to our dog anf will forever regret taking him to AEC.
Please love your pets and avoid AEC at all costs

Reviewed on GoogleDO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!
Helpful ReviewConsumer affairs need to investigate this place.
Had some animal welfare mob called on us because we took our cat to another emergency place in Mornington.
This mob wanted $10,000 for a procedure that cost $600 at the other vet.
Don’t risk it

Reviewed on GoogleThe nursing staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the vet however was dismissive and rude, bordering on the obtuse. Reasonable feedback on this was summarily passed over. If you have any other options in your area, I’d suggest attending them. An unpleasant experience.

Reviewed on GoogleWe brought our dog here after hours as I suspected my dog could have a serious tick-disease which is spreading like wildfire in north WA where we are from. Most vets in Victoria don’t know about the disease (Ehrlichiosis) and dismissed our concerns and our dogs symptoms. The vet at this clinic took our concerns seriously took the time to research it and begin the necessary treatment our dog needed as time is of the essence with this disease. The consultation was expensive but expected for after hour care. We received a call the following day saying they would refund the cost of our dogs blood work as the Victorian government would cover the cost as this particular tick borne disease test is covered by Victorian bio-security. Thank you

Reviewed on GoogleI paid $400 to basically be told that they didn’t know what was wrong and the treatments they gave were not effective, 2 days later back at my normal vet and they’re actually investigating properly and giving me a full cost breakdown beforehand, they should tell you what the cost of the treatment is before they actually administer it, if I knew fluids under the skin and anti nausea meds a would cost me $200 I would have said no

Reviewed on GoogleI cannot fault the team at Frankston. They took amazing care of my sweet boy, they did a great job at calming me down aswell! They communicated with me throughout our whole visit so I knew exactly what was going on and to top it off this level of service was still delivered when they were severely under staffed and extremely busy. I would like to specifically thank nurse Katie and Vet Heather who took amazing care of both myself and my cat, you both did a fantastic job and I can’t thank you enough.

Reviewed on GoogleHORRIBLE experience i had tonight!! my friend and i brought in a stray kitten who was obviously not looking well, the service we had from the vet nurse felt judgmental, she looked disgusted when she even saw the kitten. the blonde vet who worked on the 1/12/2021 needs an attitude check too, learn how to communicate with your customers. horrible service. they couldn’t even tell us what was going on, they told everything to the security man, talk about shoot the messenger. never going there again. that poor kitten won’t be getting the treatment and care it needs, judging from these reviews. i just hope they get a major reality check. don’t be a vet if you don’t want to help animals in need. disgusting. I am so worried for that poor kitten, i hope it is ok and is being well looked after.
