I was very disappointed in this veterinary clinic. I took my fur baby to them 5mths ago i asked for a blood test to be done but this fell on DEAF ears. I then had vet out for our other dog and she prescribed my little one tablets for her scratching. Not that they helped any i ended up rushing her to Greencross Strathalbyn where she had bleeding on her ear which they cleaned up and gave drops to. I was back again to them in within a week. As my little one was so sick she could hardly move and wasn’t even 11 yrs old. The vets at strathalbyn rushed to do blood tests without me asking. They found she had cushings disease,diabetes and kidneys closing down. I had to say goodbye to her then and i was a complete mess. Had MB vets done the one thing i had asked them for she could be still here today making us laugh with her cute antics. But no i had to lose her and now i have days when all i do is cry for my loss. Our other dog is lost without her little friend they were together for so long. Never will i trust the vet service in this town again.

We found our puppy had developed a swollen fluid filled pocket on her leg. Half an hour before the vet shut, we rang for some advice and Cassie was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful over the phone. We decided to go in to get her checked and Dr Tobi kindly stayed back to wait for us to come from out of town. She was very informative, explaining what could have happened to cause it and different treatments available. After examining fluid, Dr Tobi worked out it wasn’t an abscess, gave us some meds and did a quick but thorough health check on our Pup. Through the whole process she was very friendly and gentle with our puppy and comforting for us. We couldn’t speak more highly of the care we all received!

Well what a horrid place they don’t care for well being of animals arrived there today 19 yr old cat in lot of pain wanted cat put to sleep but they said no to busy went to Nairne veterinary clinic vet came out straight awa examined cat said best interests to put to sleep which they did great vet very understanding

Having a couple of days in Murray Bridge by the beautiful Murray river when my dog became unwell with an allergic reaction to a flea bite. Phoned MBVC and was able to get him in very quickly. The reception staff and vet were very efficient and better still very caring with their treatment of one very distressed, anxiety ridden dog – but by the time we left the clinic he was a lot happier as was his owner. Thank you for your wonderful service – Murray Bridge fur babies are very lucky to have such a great clinic. Thanks from Gazzy etc.

My purebred Chocolate Labrador Yogi had an operation at Murray Bridge Veterinary Clinic today to debulk a large mass on the front of the right hand side of his jaw (about the size of half a golf ball), and I’m pleased to say he pulled through with flying colours!!
Dr. James Vowles, the treating surgeon, did an absolutely phenomenal job and you can barely see anything has even been done!! Yogi is really happy and doing well!
They even came in cheaper than their quote! Top notch service!! Very happy pupper, and a very happy owner!! 😁

Brought my cat in several years ago, broken leg. They refused to even LOOK at him until I had money/payment plan in place. When that was finally sorted, they told me they wouldn’t operate for several days, and it would cost several thousand. Took him to another vet with a significantly better reputation that operated immediately and with a much more appropriate bill. Several years later, cat is getting older and it’s harder to get to other vet due to COVID, so I bring him in for a checkup and all they do is weigh him, then the “VET” comes in, sticks his hands in his mouth, uses his thumbnail to CUT his gums and tell me he needs expensive surgery on his teeth. Right in front of me! I saw it all. SMH! I, once again, took him to his regular vet who just shook his head and said there’s nothing wrong.
Will never, ever willfully bring my pets to these unprofessional vultures. Not once have I ever felt you’ve had the well being of my pet in mind. You need to take a long, hard look at your practice and reevaluate your interests, because they are NOT in align with the best interests of the animals that enter. Utterly disgusted by Murray Bridge Vet Clinic.

Absolutely woeful, no emergency consults but still willing to charge me $60 for a nurse consult, then tell me no bad enough to cancel a appointment so the vet can see my 14 ye old cat. All about the MONEY not about the animals. Never again.

This place deserves more than 5 stars!
Helpful ReviewNot only was I able to get an appointment for the same day, but they were absolutely amazing with dealing with our nervous dog.
They let us wait outside. I got a call after 10mins to let us know we hadn’t been forgotten, the vet was just held up. A few minutes later and the vet was at our car, explaining that we could go in via a side door to avoid going near other pets in the waiting room.
Shout out to the receptionist too! She was very kind and gave some very valuable tips on how to give medication to my dog.
