Last week we had to take our little cat Ziggy into vet HQ. He is an inside boy and we were nervous about how he’d react. Dr Ivan Duong made us feel so welcome and calm. He examined Ziggy and didn’t care that he was covered in orange fur. Ziggy was happy and exploring the room, not bothered about being poked and prodded. My partner was very worried, but Dr Ivan made her feel incredibly relaxed and confident that Ziggy was just a little anxious. With the medicine and care Dr Ivan recommended Ziggy is his normal happy self again. The whole experience was lovely and welcoming, thanks very much Vet HQ and Dr Ivan.

I wrote the below review four years ago and Roxy was in the wars again recently. Dr Ivan took one look at the lump on her chest and arranged surgery for the following day. It turned out to be the best decision as it proved to be a malignant melanoma.
We cannot praise Dr Ivan highly enough, nor the highly professional team of other vets who helped Dr Ivan, the veterinary nurses, reception and admin staff.
The whole team at VetHQ are passionate about what they do and their kindness and caring is exemplary.
Roxy has made a full recovery and after many return visits for check ups, she got the paws up from Dr Ivan.
We have been clients for 13 years now and it’s certainly been the best decision we made for veterinary care.
Huge thanks to the VetHQ team.

Whether it’s a pop in visit to pick up flea treatment, an annual check up and vaccination or a full blown emergency, this team do it with care, amazing attention and oodles of love for their furry or feathered clients.
Did I mention fun?! The happiest, cheeriest team you could hope to meet who also make the best cup cakes for their annual fund raiser for the Sydney Dog & Cat Home.
Needless to say, choosing Vet HQ was the best decision we ever made for veterinary care and we’re customers for life.

Vet HQ have been taking care of my beloved dogs for 16 years. Yes my oldest Labradoodle, Max, turns 16 next week and his longevity is a testament to the incredible team of vets, front office staff, management and nurses. Special mention to the head of nursing , J.J who is incredibly compassionate and caring and Mariko who is head of grooming and also a vet nurse.

Highly recommend – my rescue who came back from LA with me has been looked after perfectly. They picked up exactly where the LA vet left off, made sure Bruce was fine post flight, shots etc, most recently the care & attention to a limp/injured paw has been phenomenal.
Easy to contact, really helpful in finding appointments even when clearly booked solid. Can’t speak highly enough.

My family’s cats and dogs have been clients of VetHq for many years and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. While I usually see Dr Tony or Dr Caryn as our pets know them well, every other vet we’ve seen has also been fantastic – thorough, always taking the time to answer questions, and discussing the reasons for any treatments they recommend. The nurses and reception staff are delightful to deal with too. Thank you for looking after our precious furry family members!

I cannot speak highly enough of the team here but most especially Kristie who is the most reliable and professional person you could hope to find for dealing with your pets. She has looked after our cats for years at cat boarding at Vet HQ and we adore her. She is a wonderful human and I’m always so grateful for her help.

The team at Vet HQ Double Bay are nothing but exceptional, each and every visit is handled just as thorough, friendly and professional as the last.
Helpful ReviewHaving had appointments for multiple minor and major reasons over the past year or more I just wouldn’t want to take my boy anywhere else except to the team here.
Also, to handle staff shortages in the current pandemic the way they do is beyond impressive, you would never know by anybody’s demeanor that there was any additional pressure on the team – credit to you all, exceeding expectations as always.

I was so impressed with the level of service the staff offered. I spoke with Brie several times when wondering whether or not to bring in our puppy for a check up for something which may or may not have been serious. Brie was so friendly and offered excellent, sage advice. There was never any pressure to make an appointment and, amazingly, I was told if I made an appointment but then decided it wasn’t needed, I could call and cancel with no fee to pay. The best comment Brie made was that it would always be their preference that a pet is well enough NOT to have to come into the vet. I highly recommend Vet HQ. Geoff and his team are the best.

I would not take my two dogs anywhere else. Every staff member at Vet HQ – from the front desk, groomers, daycare and through to the vets – are caring, empathetic, warm and professional. They treat my two like they were their own. And they go above and beyond every single time. Thanks to Vet HQ going to the vet is a pleasant experience.

The veterinarian I saw was quite useless and only after money.
I came in with my cavoodle who at 5 years old had started experiencing allergies (never had them before). The veterinarian was quick to prescribe tablets for the itching, and an injection for the allergy for $200+ a pop, every 6 weeks for the rest of his life. I asked what the allergy was from, and she replied with “I don’t know”. I told her that maybe if they tested and found out we could just eliminate the irritant, to treat the problem and not just bandage the symptoms every 6 weeks with chemicals. She agreed that seeing a dog dermatologist would be better but “this is just easier”.
I went the next day to another vet who suggested an elimination diet, within a month our pup was all clear, it looks like he’s allergic to the Twiggy Stix that we recently began giving as treats. VET HQ only wanted our money and acted not in the best interest of my dog.
Stay away from them. Unless you’re rich and ignorant.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Vet HQ. This practice is truly a cut above the rest. All veterinarians, nurses and staff are so wonderful and caring. My Bull Terrier has a somewhat rare condition and thanks to the proactive nature of the team, specifically Dr Liz Rowland, we were able to have her diagnosed and on medication within 24hrs of her first visit. I cannot thank them enough for helping my girl get back to normal in lightning fast speed and before her condition worsened. These guys know their stuff!!! Thank you Vet HQ
