    I visited the Frankston Pet Barn store yesterday and received the worst customer service. I was the only person in the store and the person at the counter could not be less interested in serving me. The shelves were half empty and the sales person was rude and unhelpful when I asked if they had the product in stock. I left without buying anything and ordering it online for same day delivery. After an email saying it was on its way and 3 calls to the store that were not answered, it never turned up. I called customer service and they told me it was never in stock and refunded the money. The customer service person only processed the refund and was no help in finding replacement food. I will never shop at Pet Barn again as this type of service is absolutely disgraceful.

    Amazing service from Petbarn today! Living under lockdown in Victoria meant I couldn’t shop in store, and Australia Post is experiencing delays, which meant my products wouldn’t arrive for 7-10 days. Instead, I selected Same Day Delivery, and the products were delivered via Uber within 90 minutes. Amazingly quick and easy.

    Spoke to someone named Chris on the phone. I’m actually so mad about a comment he made.
    My family dog had a huge panic attack before going to the vet so we needed something to help calm her down. I called up and asked for the adaptil spray to be put on hold along side some calming tablets. After speaking to my vet about it they offered the calming tablets and said to get a bandana too to spray the adaptil on and tie around her. So I called back asking to put a Bandana aside too and not to worry about the tablets. Chris then had the audacity to rudely say “Just letting you know we don’t do personal shopping for people but I’ll do it this one time” I was so shocked! I then explained its for my brother in law to come pick up as he doesn’t know what to ask for and we needed it right away and he goes “that’s fine we just don’t do this especially when we are busy, that’s why we have click and collect” I couldn’t believe he had the nerve to say this to me especially when I was already stressed out about my dog and i had explained this at the start! I am a customer! And I already had explained we needed it right away, I don’t know how long click and collect is going to take. My brother in law then went in to purchase it and they were rude to him saying they are busy (there was no one in the store). First and definitely last time we will ever purchase from this rude company! You need to do a refresher on your customer service! I use to work with a company like yours and I’d get my arse kicked if I ever spoke to a customer like that. Absolutely disgusting!

    This was my first shop instore and unfortunately there was a price discrepancy of the Maxi Royal Canin Puppy Food I purchased.

    Your website advertises $52.99, shelf label was $61.99. The team member who served me was friendly about it, however I had to bring up the website on my phone to be charged the correct price (even though she knew it was $52). I was informed that PetBarn does online sales only. *There is no mention of this on your website at all…

    I ​would have been overcharged if I had not browsed your website earlier in the day, it has put me off buying anything instore.

    I have written this review as I think customers need to be aware! 😳

Prices will sometimes vary in store from online as from time to time we need to clear our stock from our stores or our distribution centre’s in order to make room for new products. We do this by discounting the prices on certain products.

      We are working on this to ensure a closer price range between stores and online. Most businesses do offer different pricing between online and bricks & mortar, similar to how we generally have different online promotions to what we have in stores.

    I attended the store in search for a tank set up for my office, I was served by a lady named Kayla. Her service was beyond exceptional. She confidently answered my 100 questions and totally understood I am a beginner and a first time aquarium owner. Kayla went out of her way to fulfill my requests. Overall the staff in store are extremely helpful and educational.

    They have a really well stocked range of pet food and staff are always friendly and wrong to help. I love the click and collect service offered here, plus the $10 same day delivery on in stock items if you place your order before 4pm – they use an uber delivery service with real time updates, it was excellent.

    Saw a Petbarn ad on Facebook saying 40% off (large font), online and in store (then in tiny font “selected products”). Visited the Frankston Power Centre store and took some dry cat food and litter to the register. The food (Royal Canin) was advertised on their website as $32.99, a saving of around $10 off regular price, however I was told by an unfriendly staff member “Helen” that it was full price. Apparently the saving only applies to online purchases. Helen said they would price match (their own items!) if I showed her the website ad. When asked if she had it on her computer she said it wasn’t their policy to do that as they were too busy. Finally I left with my goods after paying the reduced price but I don’t understand why Petbarn is discouraging shoppers to go online rather than support their store staff. Admittedly the staff member I dealt with is generally always unfriendly and their prices are always higher than Petstock but the store is in a convenient location. From now on though, I’m going the extra KLM’s to Petstock where the staff can’t do enough to help you and never make you feel unwelcome! Big thumbs down to Petbarn.

    Standard big brand pet store. For some reason the shelf is always empty regardless of what I want. Was impressed when they could find one of the products out the back for me though. Prices are quite high for what I would assume would be big buying power as they are a large chain. Have had an incident with poor customer service in the past but the manager was wonderful and really seemed to care.

    Hello everyone: went this week as I wished to have a look around and also place an A4 ad for Puppy Training and Pet Minding – which I am not only qualified to do but, I have top references and very loyal clients for more than 10 years. I was told by a lady employee (who was far from friendly) that as Pet Barn policy NO adverts of any kind can be placed on their notice board. So, I asked her why? and she just followed orders -so, this is the way Pet Barn operates. I told her that it is very strange that Pet Barn does not suppor members of the community as we live in Frankston: she said nothing and I told her I was going to contact her HO. I did write an email explaining the above and, sent it few times. I got no written reply but, their logo and phone no. – Hence, no Customer Service of any kind and total lack of communication skills. Very disappointing to say the least as this is unacceptable behaviour.

    After visiting this store a couple of months ago, I was disappointed in my experience. I phoned ahead to check if they had a multi vitamin powder for my reptiles, the woman on the phone confirmed that they had. I drove down, expecting to be greeted and assisted when I walked in but no the staff were talking to each other over me. Not great service in my opinion. Then I found the “powdered” multivitamin myself, brought the product, went home and discovered a lovely maggot on the inside of the packaging. Absolutely disgusting, and where’s there’s one there’s always more. Not only that but the “powdered” multivitamin was more like blended herbs that my lizard wouldn’t touch.

    A really good store. Got a great special on Breeders Choice cat litter and bought a brush and cat toy with catnip. The staff member was very helpful and friendly. I much prefer to shop in-store rather than on-line so I can have a good look around.
