You helped get our beautiful girl, Sasha, to heaven yesterday.
Helpful ReviewWe had never been here before, but our usual vets had no available appointments and you were referred to us by one of your long-time customers.
You reassured us we were making the right decision, helped us organize her cremation and laid two blankets out on the grass underneath the trees, despite it having rained the day before and the conditions not being the best.
Sasha was a very special dog. One of a kind. She had the most beautiful nature, and everyone who met her loved her.
Your practice has an ambience of warmth and a true love for animals.
Thank you for accommodating us, and making Sasha’s last moments as peaceful and comforting as was possible.
You made a real difference on that last day of our Sasha’s life, and we will never forget it and always be grateful.

I have been using green point vets for years, with my dogs. They have been wonderful, with all things. I would especially like to thank them for there help with my senior dogs, in particular with Ingrid, who had a lots of old dog health problems, Diabetes, blind, dementia, brain tumor and arthritis, all manageable for a long time with your help and instructions from the dedicated vets. Also thankyou to the lovely staff who put Ingrid to rest in her own bed at home, this service meant that Ingrid was in a safe place till the very end.

Greenpoint Vets have ALWAYS tried there very best to accommodate not only to the animal but the owners, they have always gone above and beyond, simply hands down the best vets in Australia, I’ve lived in different states and areas and Greenpoint vets has been the best so far…Caring team whom try above and beyond 👌👏

Yes thanks for that Richard. Emergency procedures will always be given preference as was in this case. We are very busy most days particularly weekends and these cases can wreak havoc with waiting times. Mostly we can forwarn you of delays by calling but obviously not in this case. Thanks

It was with a heavy heart that two days ago we had to let our beloved mate Zac go. Green Point Vets had been looking after his needs for the last 14 years and were always kind, personal and professional. On Thursday morning after several nights of anguish we took Zac to the vets for the last time. Mick was great and understanding while conveying to him what our mate was going through and that his current pain medication was no longer working. He explained about greater (opiate based) pain relief could be an option, but that was not an option we wanted for Zac. When Mick took Zac to prepare, I prepared his bed and waited for my wife and son to arrive. Zac returned to the room and he was full of kisses and joy. He knew. He knew his pain was going to be relieved and laid down on his bed. My wife and son arrived and Zac again was full of love and joy, with kisses and vigourous wagging of his tail. Mick afforded us the opportunity of being with him to say goodbye. I gave a nod of the head to Mick who was standing outside the room and he entered and the whole process was over in minutes. Our beautiful mate was gone, but he was so peaceful. Mick explained what would happen next, we had already made up our minds that he would be cremated. Zac was transferred to Newcastle and Hunter Pet Crematorium on Friday and we anticipate his return to us next week. All the staff at Green Point Vets are great. From the time we got Zac at 10 weeks old and took him to the vets for the 1st time to his last visit, they have shown kindness and compassion. Once again thank you all. We are hurting over our loss, but we will survive. I read about “The Rainbow Bridge”. We would all like to believe that that will happen and we will be reunited in the future with our mate. R.I.P Zac.

Helpful ReviewApologies as the price given to you on the phone was for a prescription for capsules which are cheaper then chewable tablets . Sometimes more difficult to identify exactly what form of the drug etc if we have not seen the animal and don’t have them on our file and are supplying a drug prescribed by another hospital.

Been to a few other vets on the coast and understand of course it runs as a business. Being on a disability pension doesn’t allow me to fork out a heap of $$$s at once. After visiting another vet in Kincumber they started wanting to do tests mounting to 1000s of dollars.
Helpful ReviewI took over ownership of our dog on the proviso of vet bills being covered ,sadly I didn’t get it in writing. After 2 years of our dog becoming a part of our family . We found the Well off middle aged couple renege on their promise and our little dog with an upper respiratory infection.
Fortunately I found GREEN POINT VETERINARY HOSPITAL.
I rang for an appointment but within a day of that time our dog got worse ,the staff in reception immediately found room for us that morning.
Our little Jack R. had extremely laboured breathing.
ZINZA the Vet was extremely compassionate and as we explained ,she also explained we could look at treatment from the bottom up (,cost wise) then go from there. Truly , I cannot thank this Vet enough, there are no certainties with this but for a couple of hundred dollars we saw a vast improvement after 2 days.
I found them ethical , realistic ,but above ,all truly caring towards animals. Thank you so much for helping us. Kudos to all your staff working under challenging conditions during Covid.

After a very traumatic dash to Green Point vets, to get Molly some help after Point Clare failed to diagnose her illness correctly, they offered our baby the loving care she deserved in a very stressful situation, unfortunaly Green Point diagnosed Kidney Failure, which was a complete shock to me, although a total mess, Zoe talked me through our options of trying to save our baby, we tried for 24 hours, being given fluid and anti nausea medication but unfortunately Molly wanted to be let go, she had had enough, Zoe tried her best, Jo was our beautiful nurse who made Molly comfortable and Georgina made our final moments with Molly as peaceful as possible, giving Molly kisses and hugs throughout her last moments and beyond.

Incredibly professional and compassionate staff.
Unfortunately our dog had to be let go from our family today, and they did the best possible job to make sure that both our poor dog, and my very emotional mum were as comfortable as possible.
Best Vet on the coast in my opinion, even if we had to find that out in such unfortune circumstances.

Such an great place. I brought in my sick 8 week old kitten and the vet saw him straight away even though I didn’t have an appointment. Georgia (the vet) was absolutely amazing and even called me the next day to check up on everything. I definitely will be bringing him back for his vaccinations and health checks! 👍🏻
