I can’t recommend Dogue in Balmain highly enough. Not only is the lady at the front desk an absolute pleasure to deal with, the groomers are also wonderfully consistent. I have never picked up my toy poodle without being extremely impressed every single time. What incredible attention to detail! Thank you for all your kindness and care with Pablo. Truly grateful 🙏🏽

The gold standard of pet grooming… always a great experience when I take my dog to DOGUE… my little Marty has spouts of anxiety and the staff are always so accommodating and make him feel comfortable not to mention their patience in dealing with him… and of course their level of skill and professionalism in making my pet always looking great… the staff’s positive and polite behaviour reassures the customer that they love what they do… 10/10 enough said 🥇

I have been taking my Cavoodle Tilly to Dogue Balmain since 2017, couldn’t be happier. Silvana, and the team are just amazing, they really care for your furry friend and take the time to chat at every visit to make you and your fur-baby feel welcome and relaxed. I am always thrilled with how Tilly looks after her groom and most importantly, she comes out smiling and tail wagging. Tilly can be shy and the team always work thier magic to get her tail wagging at every visit. Clipped my dog and caused bleeding. When we approached the manager about this they were not accepting of responsibility and showed little care or concern. They are extremely expensive for the service they provide. There are other grooming salons in the area with more care and compassion. Wouldn’t recommend DOGUE and will never take our dogs there again.

My 10mo rescue puppy Teddy had his first groom (in my care) at Dogue, the ladies were lovely and gentle with him and made sure the experience was calm, stress free and quick so he had an enjoyable time which is so important in setting him up to feel comfortable for future grooms. He also came out looking a million bucks and luckily Silvana pointed him out to me amongst the day care pups as he looked so beautiful, neat and tidy compared to the scruffy unkempt pup I dropped off to be groomed, I barely recognised him. We have used Dogue a number of times. On a couple of occasions they have been brilliant, but unfortunately they are very inconsistent, and our experience last Saturday was absolutely horrendous. The quality of the groom was very substandard, the experience was unprofessional and our dog has a visible negative reaction to the store since the experience.

We have been going to Dogue Balmain for the last 2 years. Both our boys look great after their groom, however tired for the rest of the day. The staff are very friendly and the groomers do a great job. But, I have noticed the last two grooms they have been charging us a lot more than before. I understand the prices have gone up a little per their notice, but not the prices we are being charged!

Oscar has been spa-ing it up for 4 years at Balmain. He is very sensitive and the team there take great care of him, so I can walk away, grab a coffee and chill for 90mins. Yes, he wants to come home but is certainly not stressed by the experience. The team are so gentle and love him as much as I do, not to mention the great style he walks away with. Highly recommend

Disappointed with the quality of the groom considering the price tag. For the price I expected a very professional groom however we got an uneven groom especially around the legs, really all over the body. She already looks messy after only 1.5 weeks into the groom.
Post comment review: Dogue did contact me and corrected the groom to a high standard. I was very happy with their prompt response and attention to detail the second time around. I would go back.

I have two Groodles that hate to be brushed. Magically, on their visit to dogue, they seem to be more than happy to be fussed over, patted and groomed. My dogs love their visit and the staff At Balmain are friendly, kind and treat the dogs as they would their own. I would recommend Dogue Balmain if you have any sort of oodle that need a new look, or is challenging to groom.

I just picked up my 17yr old Maltese/Jack Russel dog. I can honestly say it’s the best groom he’s ever had! I will definitely be back. Being and elderly blind/deaf dog I was so impressed with the care he was shown.

I brought my 11 month old Vizsla puppy into Dogue Balmain to get his nails clipped. I have bringing in there since he was 10 weeks old. The last time I brought him in they said he was so well behaved. This time the staff member mentions to me she had to go in the back to check if he has to be doubled handled as they had notes on their system. When she returned she informed me that my puppy tried to bite the handler ( never tried or snapped at anybody before) and they would now have to charge me more for the double handling.They never informed me of what the extra charge was. I purchased other merchandise in the store and when my puppy came out I noticed outside the store that his nails had been butchered, so cut right back into the nerve. Whoever cut his nails did not know what they were doing, I returned back into the store to get a refund. Be very careful sending your dog in here , not only do they do a really bad job , they also find ways to overcharge you without letting you know the costs. So unprofessional

To avoid stress to Sully and potential injury to a groomer, two experienced groomers were required to cut Sully’s nails. This does come at an extra cost, which we apologise if this was not clear.
Our groomers and all our staff pride themselves on delivering quality service and we followed as best we could our standard protocols for nail clipping.

I’ve been bringing my pup to Dogue Balmain for about three years now to get groomed and the occasional day care. He LOVES coming, and they always do a great job with him, he looks like a fresh new puppy every time. The staff are really lovely and the price is reasonable for the service.

My dogs Lily and Alfie always come back so fresh and clean and happy. The girls here are so nice and really take care of the dogs. It is pretty expensive but the service is great which is what I base my ratings on. Plus the pups always come back with the cutest little bandannas.

I am so happy to say that my dog loves comming here because she is loved and looked after, they do such an amazing job and they are fair with pricing. We have an 11 year miniature schnauzer. She’s never been all that keen on grooming. It took us a long time but we finally found a doggy groomer where she feels happy to go to and looks fabulous when she steps out.

Our 3rd visit to Dogue with our Scottie’s Angus and Mac today and they are more than happy to walk into the shop and lap up the welcome they receive from the girls unlike previous places they have been to where after 1 visit they don’t want to go within 50 metres of the place.

Groomers need to be a little more attentive. We often take our dog home and find patches of unkempt fur straight after a grooming. Not bad but not great, especially considering the price tag.
