The reception at this practice is apaling eating at the front counter, with a mouth full while serving, talking to customers, and that’s just the start, the vets was advised my dog needed to be sedated. My dog has been there many times. I was given medicine for my dog, which was a different medicine from the last vet that has retired. They said ,Take two tablets the night before two tablets in the morning $61.70, didn’t work, so could I not take my dog in. Speak the the practice again. ” Oh try again, take this sedative as well. $30 later. So my pore boy had 10 tablets for nothing.
Helpful ReviewTake my pet in and be told he will probably need sedation, yes another $155 and a half day hospital fee of $55 Was pretty clear now it’s controlled by the parent company they are now money hungry. They Even tried to sell pet insurance.

Sadly Zoe has left but the other vets have picked up the slack and are doing a great job. All the office girls are also very helpful and compassionate.

Bathurst Central is absolutely amazing. The team there, the reception staff, vet nurses and beta are outstanding. I have tried every single vet in Bathurst, and Bathurst Central are the only ones I would trust with my little ones.
Kirsten & Zoe go above & beyond, and truly care. The first 5 minutes of each visit, they spend cuddling and building rapport with some nervous cats and dogs.
Thank you Kirsten & Zoe, you are unbelievable. My boys have never been so happy to see a vet.
Go no where else – especially if you are looking for a descent price and gets that actually care (not a ‘push in, push out’ mentality)

What great care and service. I called they fitted me in and saw to my dog very quickly. She is an anxious dog but was pretty relaxed about her visit. My first trip here but wont be my last.

I will not use an other vet in town, the staff at BCAH are absolutely fantastic. I’ve used every other vet in town and they don’t come close. The empathy and understand and just down right friendly environment there is second to none. They have my business for all my animals from now onwards. And I would suggest everyone else do the same before you find out how bad everyone else is 😉.

Dr Kirsten and her team are very professional and caring. Our young dog was recently ran over and having to call the after hours vet clinic @ Bathurst Central Animal Hospital we were very impressed with their care all whilst keeping charges affordable. I think all our vet needs will now be taken to Kirsten and her team and we would recommend them to anyone who is in need of emergency vetinary care. Thankyou Dr Kirsten.
