Could not recommend the guard dog training centre enough! We sent our 8 month German Shepard puppy, Leo, who was dog reactive and a very strong puller on the lead. Sending him there was the best thing we have ever done for both us and our dog. He is now a dream to walk with no pulling and he is barely reactive at all anymore! The team were amazing throughout the entire process and the hand over we got on pick up was so thorough and if we had any issues or questions after his stay they were so prompt and happy to help. Thank you to the team at Guard Dog Training centre for completely transforming both us (the owners) and our dog’s life for the better. We can now confidently take him anywhere without being anxious or having to avoid people or dogs!!

Cannot recommend this place more! I sent my 6 year old Border Collie and 6 Month old Kelpie/German Shepherd puppy for the 8 day training.
Helpful ReviewThey were lovely on arrival and we spoke in depth about each dogs problem areas. They also took note of my Border Collie’s special diet.
I was given an update half way through the week – which was in-depth and personalised in a way that I knew they were really getting to know my dogs!
When picking up the dogs I got half an hour with each dog going over training. My 6 month old Kelpie/German shepherd was my problem child and basically did a 360!! He is no longer reactive towards any dogs or people. Absolutely outstanding results.
I then got another half an hour training with both the dogs so I knew how to handle both at the same time.
Both my dogs are in fantastic condition, they were bathed prior to me picking them up. They’re both bright eyed and seemed like they had an amazing time!!
I will without a doubt be returning for boarding- as this facility is top notch.
Also shout out to Kirstin for being so understanding and looking after my pups!

Was having issues initially after training. The facility didn’t hesitate to contact me to come back in and enable me with the tools necessary to correct my puppy to an excellent behaviour free of charge. Cannot recommend the team here enough, they will go above and beyond and care more for the customer than what they can get from the customer. My puppy has outstanding behaviour and has exceeded expectations at a rapid rate at home after obedience training and the training session for me to implement it at home. Will definitely be back to go further in his training! If you really want results, the team here know exactly what they’re doing

Mila has been here twice now and each time she has come back healthy, happy and washed, not to mention problematic behavior worked on. Kodak the brown pup went in for training and he came back so much more mature and receptive to what I expect of him.

2 years ago we sent our highly anxious lab x english staffy for 8 nights of training. He returned a different dog – no longer reactive to other dogs while on walks, no longer barking/crying when we leave him home alone and generally much calmer. We have him booked again for 2 weeks boarding as we are about to go on holidays and I was so surprised that they will refresh his training every day he is booked in for no cost. Highly recommend!

Hello after much long research my partner & I decided to put our GSD Kaiba into this training school for obedience training.
I can not elaborate how professional this company was in their delivery of service from the reception bay to the hard workers who spent hours each day with our dog Kaiba.
A huge thankyou to one young man in particular Aden, who displayed & delivered such professional conduct and knowledge of dog training / skills is just perfection
My partner & I would highly recommend this company to all dog owners honestly the best decision we made for our dog Kaiba.

Guard Dog Training Centre is phenomenal. I was extremely happy with their techniques. I have a large male Rottweiler who was very difficult to control in regards to his aggressive behaviours, however after being at the GDTC, he was so much more obedient and is a complete different dog to walk. We have continued with the training techniques we were taught as owners. We are happy with all his progress. I was so impressed, that I will continue to have him boarded when I go on holidays. The trainers are absolutely amazing and the service is fantastic! I highly recommend!

Why did you not ask me first if my pug was used to a chocker lead? He was struggling to breath right from the moment you brought him out. One of the staff said” oh come on puppy they’ll think we miss treated you!” Right as I was placing my chest harness on my other dog. My pug has struggled to breath constantly since. Vet has diagnosed him with a crushed trachea due to the neck collar. See you in court….. yes I am in your system. I picked Frankie up on Friday 22nd July 2002.

We are shocked to hear this through a review, we did try & phone you without any success to discuss in further.
Upon on arrival at our facility, yes harnesses are removed as we place our leads on to take them down into their room(s) – the leads in which we use are slip leads, this doesn’t pull tight, doesn’t place any tension around the throat region of any breed of dog, this sits up nice & high on the back of their necks, right in behind their ears. It is known as a slip lead to lessen the chances of a dog “slipping” or “becoming loose” from our handlers/carers.
The same slip leads in which were used on arrival which you did not raise your concern were also then used to bring them up with when you collected them, so I am a little confused as to why this is now a concern when this was shown prior to them staying in our care.
We’d still very much like to discuss this in further, please do call us back when you have the chance.

Our lovely bullmastiff came out after a week later appeared traumatised & scared,loud noises freak her out. I truly regret sending my dog here even one year later! Please dont make the same mistake we did in sending our dog here.Breaks my heart to see the aftermath of sending our gorgeous dog to this place..Look at the bad reviews & thumbs up,theres a good reason for it.

We sent our 2yo fox terriers to the centre for the obedience course. We had issues with walking, barking and general nutty hyperactive terrier behaviour.
We picked them up two weeks later and the trainer took us through what they could do. Sit, stay, drop, and heel. They were changed dogs and we are so impressed with the results. They are calmer, responsive and a pleasure to have around.
We live 3 hours away so it will be a while before we get back up for a refresher but the staff made it very clear we are always welcome to call with any questions or come back up if we need help. I?m very impressed with their service and look forward to continuing the training with our dogs. Thank you!
