I’m always worried when a place is the only business in town. Lack of competition someone leads to poor standards. This place surprised me. The receptionist was helpful and the doctor was friendly, supportive and gave wise, intelligent counsel. Our pet casually has been blessed with the best medical care.

The service was good but I’m not convinced that the pricing is fair. I was there for less than fifteen minutes with my two small dogs. I was charged $104. During the visit the vet emptied both dogs anal glands and the bill was:

Total of $104 for less than fifteen minutes.
Maybe it’s just me. I also think the Blackheath Family Medical Centre is too expensive and I use a city doctor instead.
