Be very careful seem to be a pattern of Yes we found the problem you can pick up your mate at X time . Hour or two later terrible news your mate has to be put down and really can’t go home to pass away for he will be in terrible pain . He was taken in for refusing to eat for a few days but 48 hours before was running around the park . The fee was eye watering but worst of all I feel I really let my mate down by not taking him elsewhere ( something wasn’t right )

Save your pets life and AVOID this vet.
This vet is negligent and incompetent and my dog would still be alive if I didn’t go here. Unfortunately, it was a situation that needed urgent attention and I wasn’t aware of many after hours vets in my area.
Adding to the distress of the situation, I received a text the day after dropping off my dog, indicating she was ready for pick-up. Relieved, I scheduled a time to collect her, only to receive another call hours later stating it was a mistake and it was recommended to put her down, a decision I was completely unprepared for and avoidable if I had taken her elsewhere.
They have a well known bad reputation and I regret ever going there.

Didn’t give us an update, told us our dog was stable, came back two hours later for X-ray results was told vet had not seen xray only to wait again and the be told that the only option was to put our dog down. Not sure what happened in the middle as no one gave me an update on her. She is 13years old. I opted to bring her home on pain relief was not offered an option to see her and had to wait another 30 minutes in the waiting room to be able to take my dying dog home and wasn’t able to go and see her. They kept calling her a him. I get they are an emergency vet and are busy and stressed but some compassion would be nice I had to ask about four times to have my dog given back to me. It’s not an environment I would want my dog euthanised I’m not even sure they would let you see the dog as this was definitely not an option discussed with me.

Sought end of life assistance at AREC for our little fur best friend Luna. It was the hardest thing for us to do and we feel that all staff involved with Luna’s last breath we’re kind, compassionate, considerate and understanding. They talked us through the entire process and gave us all the time we needed, they even allowed her other fur best friend to be there with her. These people have heart and I recommend them if you ever are in our shoes. We are forever grateful for how humanly they help Luna drift off to sleep in our arms. Thank you💜

I recently had my cat looked after for 2 nights after a blocking procedure. The team were so kind and professional through the whole process. I knew that my cat was in the best care. The vet even sent me a photo of my cat and a text update. As someone who has never had to spend a night away from their pet, this gave me a great peace of mind to know he was okay.
Helpful ReviewAlthough the cost was expensive, the team is an emergency 24/7 care which is expected to be more than a normal vet. I did not find the costing to be more expensive than what I would have anticipated for an emergency care vet.
I would highly recommend if anyone needs their pet looked after for emergency care to visit the team

The staff at this Vet clinic are so professional and lovely and so very considerate in hard times. They understand that pets are family and they are so helpful with our needs as pet owners. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and dedication, even in emergency situations. It’s hard work, but they do it beautifully.

Having to readmit my dog to another hospital due to poor service and communication from these guys so basically have been scammed out of a few thousand dollars by these guys and wasted plenty of travel time. It’s a shame to be giving this rating as it’s really only focussed on one staff member in which two others were seemingly pleasant but that’s all it takes for a vet clinic to lose trust and future business in this instance. A trip to the ombudsman will be well worth my time

Had to take our dog Charlie to AREC last night and was very impressed with how the staff handled him. He’s super anxious when visiting the vet, but this was probably our best vet visit of all time. The vet nurse Tyson told me he was ‘low stress handling – silver certified’, which I hadn’t heard of before, and it was clear straight away how those skills really helped – the way he managed interacting with Charlie and taking his vitals etc in a way that minimised the sense of threat for our dog was amazing. The vet was also really great at factoring Charlie’s emotional state into her approach too, so the exam and treatment could all be completed without having to cut anything short due to doggo’s fear reactions. Very appreciative of the care.

Great service in for middle of the night emergencies. The vet nurse was friendly and efficient. I phone first and got good advice then when I arrived my dog was promptly triaged and problem resolved.

THESE VETS KILLED MY DOG

These vets DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE ANIMALS, Not one bit.
They care only about the money.
Disgusting excuses for vets, never ever again will they have their way with me or my dogs. Horrible staff, disgusting service, worst ever reception.
If you have to use them think twice. Also make sure you have several thousands of dollars in the bank, ready to go, with zero explanation….
There are OTHER after hours vets, please check them first.
What is even better is that when they get an average review, they dont respond publicly, they ask for contact details so they can get out of it in private. What an absolute joke.

Our 10 week old beautiful “Beverly” was a patient of your hospital overnight. We would like to thank all staff and veterinarians including Dr Josh who cared for our baby and helped her through the virus she had. Our 7 year old son was very worried and upset about his new puppy, we called on speaker and the beautiful receptionist went and checked on miss Beverly at 2200hrs and assured our son she was calm and almost asleep. This really made him feel much better. Dr Josh was incredible throughout our horrible night, explained the treatment plan and costs comprehensively. The whole experience was pleasant and our family is extremely grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you so much for helping our baby girl feel 100% better ❤️

We brought our four year old male kelpie in om a saturday night. As he was having partial seizures, potentially due to his behavioural medication. As having experience in the industry already from the RSPCA and behavioural training. I cannot express how highly impressed I was with the professionalism and level of care that is provided to our boy Timmy. There is also an impeccable level of bedside manner, which should not be overlooked. Dr Christopher, thank you for your outstanding help.

Had to take my Schnoodle Myrtle here tonight she had an allergic reaction to something. The triage nurses were fantastic! Quick service and really reassuring and gave great advice.
