    Excellent service. Awesome vets and staff members. Their treatment and suggestions have done wonders for my pet cavoodle Scotch. Vets and nurses here are very experienced and know what they are doing. Highly Recommended!!

    I was told $148. Later there was nothing wrong with my dog.
    2 minutes around the corner and massive seizure.
    I’m reporting this vet to the Vet authority
    Be warned people.
    My boy suffered with massive seizures until next morng (we also went to Rossmore who also sent us home saying it might be a snake night for an additional $1000 plus after $606. But sent us home when we couldn’t afford it – blood tests came back excellent, but still sending us home!
    Thirlmere Vets not only are economical in cost but supelrier vets that do house calls and AH.
    My dog suffered from MacArthur Vet.
    Shame on you horrible Vet and reception is useless.

    Please note I work in high needs Disability for over 25 years …I know a seizure !!!!
    The Vet is incompetent and I am warning everyone I know of my experience.

    My beautiful Labrador never stood up again after being in your practice!!

    These guys are cruel!!! Your head nurse at Camden should be sacked for her cruel approach to animal welfare! Especially for someone who loves cats and has cats of her own.

    I rung up the Camden clinic to book my cat into board within your facility as he has previously stayed there before.
    He suffers from anxiety so wanted to take him to place he is sum what familiar with while I will be away attending an funeral.

    I was later informed that he was not up to date with his vaccines, which I was surprised about as he has been to the vet in the last 12 months and nothing was mentioned to me regarding this.

    The nurse agreed that he could board but would not be able to stay in the boarding facility as he was not update with his vaccines and has to stay away from other cats, but instead would allow him to board within the hospital cages durning the 3 day stay.

    Excuse me how cruel and in humane is that!!
    To keep a cat locked up in a small cage that is designed for animals post and pre operation.

    After asking to speak to the head nurse myself the tone and manner in her voice is quite disgraceful and off putting.

    I questioned that I was not made aware of my cat not being up to date with vaccines.
    She was very quick to rattle of the dates of text msgs that were supposably sent to me.

    Well if no one replied or booked an appointment based on the so called reminder text msgs don’t you think the appropriate thing to do is to pick up the phone and make contact. Little thing called customer service.!!!

    I understand that my cat in your eyes is not up to date with his vaccines and can’t be near the other cats that are boarding but the appropriate thing to do for the welfare of my cat is you suggest an alternative option then to offer him to board in the hospital cages.

    The approach that your head nurse took in allowing my cat to board at the expense of his welfare clearly shows your in it for the quick easy cash and not the welfare of animals like you say!

    Never again! Your head nurse at Camden has turned my off your establishment and will go else where for the health and welfare of my cat moving forward.

      Your last visit to MVG was in May 2020. Our reminder system is set up to ensure multiple reminders are sent via text and email. Despite your cat not being up to date with vaccinations we attempted to provide assistance. We want to reassure you all boarding accommodation we provide more than meets our patients welfare needs.

    Last year, we noticed a large bruise on our doggos stomach one Sunday night. We immediately booked him in to see the vet the next day. The vet asked if we had a horse or goat on the property. After we said no, she practically accused us of animal abuse saying that if we didn’t have those animals, someone must have kicked him. She didn’t relent with this angle . I felt like I was being interrogated. This was so upsetting & I had to force myself to keep my cool as my only concern was my doggo. I had to push and push for her to think differently as she seemed convinced we were abusing our dog!! I was finally able to convince her to book him in for an x-ray. After the x-ray, it revealed he had some disc degeneration causing his disc to pinched so we can only imagine he may have been in pain and fell up or down the steps at the back of our house. I was so angry & disappointed at this vet. They didnt even apologise. Imagine if we hadn’t pushed. I never said anything at the time as we had been using them for over 10 years for our big brood of pets.

    Recently, I ran into an issue registering our cats as someone (vet or council) failed to do the simple task of putting the correct information into the system which meant I couldn’t register them in the official system. I experienced some severe depression around this time and forget to follow up with the vet on their error. I later received fines for both cats ($300 each) and realised I had forgotten to seek assistance from the vet to correct their data entry issue. I reached out to them and they fixed the issue and I was able to register my pets. Unfortunately, Revenue NSW would not accept the justification for the delay without the Vet providing me with a simple letter to state there was a data entry issue that stopped me from being able to register them at the time.

    We had to make the very difficult decision to put one of our older doggos to rest so we talked to the vet about providing the letter for me so I could avoid a $600 fine for something that was caused by someone else’s poor attention to detail. They were being very kind at the time & said they would reached out to the practice manager to put forward my request. I honestly didn’t see there would be any issue – were were long standing, loyal customers and the request was a simple one – based on their mistake.

    Surprisingly, the vet said no. They weren’t willing to help us out. This, on top of the vet accusing me of abusing my doggo, was the line in the sand for me. They don’t have any issue taking your money, but will not correct their mistakes no matter how much pain and suffering is causes someone. This vet group is a disgrace!

    Always great service, MacArthur Vet Group managed to squeeze me in for my Kitten that could not walk when we go home, although they were extremely busy they didn’t rush me and I left extremely happy and that my Kitten got a complete look over!

    The vets and staff at Macarthur Vet surgery in Ironbark Ave are fabulous. They’ve been caring for my pets for near 20yrs. Their care for my kitties has been, and is, exemplary. They’re also admirably sensitive to my cares and concerns about my pets.
    I have no hesitation in recommending this surgery to anyone who wants first class care for their pets.
