Love fish tank. Huge selection of koi fish. Wish I had a larger outdoor pond. The staff are always helpful. Great selection of Cory Dora’s, love the Pygmy corydoras. Lots of tetra options also which was perfect for my small tank. Plenty of options for my large tank also, gauramis, loaches, rainbow sharks, Plecostemous!

Patient and informative to new tank owners, happy to perform a pH test on water samples, and set us up with all we needed to safely start. This was more helpful, with more attention to detail, than we received at any other live fish sales shop. The reasonal and competitive pricing of stock plus the helpful and professional attitude of all three staff in the shop, has guaranteed we are returning customers.

Most extensive range of aquarium fish in the Hills.

African cichlids are prominent too. The usual tropicals and goldfish are excellent too.
Very knowledgeable staff and patient during the covid19 lockdowns. Worth a drive to check it out. And they only do fish – not other pets. A bonus because they specialise and are good at it.
I used to breed African cichlids many years ago and only got back into keeping a tank of the water world during covid to keep occupied. Advances in fish keeping are huge and this shop shows it

I am VERY disappointed in my service with fishtank. When I first visited this store, I was well received by a young lady whom I had a lovely conversation with. She sold me some beautiful koi fish for my well established pond that are still thriving and healthy today. When I visited again I was sold sickly looking gold fish by a man named Steve who was curt and rude. They died less than a week later despite my best efforts. When I called to ask about their refund policy, my calls were not answered. Safe to say I will not be shopping here again after my interaction with the owner.

I have dealt with Steve and James for over a year now for my aquarium needs. They have a great wealth of knowledge on freshwater and saltwater fish and coral and always happy to answer all my questions. I keep going back because of their great customer service and honesty. They would rather you not buy something than end up with a tank full of fish that don’t get along.
Best aquarium shop in the hills and a must stop if you’re thinking about getting a fish. Keep an eye on their Facebook page, they quite often will have sales and specials on which they announce on there.

ATO – Automatic Top Off
My ATO had stopped working. Called this shop and they suggested to purchase the Smart ATO which he said they had the last one in store and they offered to keep aside for me.
Helpful Review 1I got to the store in 2 hours and was given the ATO $200, the box looked open and I was assured that the ATO is still brand new. Got the ATO to the car and opened to find there were parts missing, took it back and the guy in the shop was left red faced in front of other customers. He offered a cash refund even though I had paid by card.
Anyway, I got to another aquarium shop to purchase the Smart ATO. I was given a best price of $214 but the box looked different to the one from Fishtank, Told the guys at the other shop of my experience at Fishtank.
He showed me the box that Fishtank was trying to flog off to me and I was told that they were trying to sell you the old version which had issues.
From my experience theses guys have tried to cheat me and will never ever go back. Trust and honesty goes a long way. The person I was dealing with at Fishtank was Steve.

Young man in store is a total marine nerd and gives excellent advice, including discouraging purchase of unsuitable fish/corals, and knows coral inside out, is clearly passionate about them.
