Absolutely fantastic experience.
Helpful ReviewI live in Bowen, QLD, and was travelling with my 2 conures, Leo and Chewie, and since there are no avian vets up this way, thought it would be beneficial to book them in whilst passing through.
The team were professional, gentle, thorough, informative and gave my birds the best care.
It was a relief to know they are in good health and that I’m doing a good job in keeping them healthy.
I will definitely be making an annual trip to visit Brisbane Bird Vet.

I’m so extremely lucky to have sound this clinic and got a same day appointment for my cockatiel. I went with a lot of fear for my little bird and left feeling reassured and confident in her after care. Can’t recommend this doctor enough

Hi Molly. Thank you for your 5 star review. We appreciate you taking the time. Euthanasia is such a difficult decision for owners and we know that generally bird owners do not get the same support from friends as they would when perhaps they lost a dog or cat. We know how important these little guys can be. Dr Adrian

Our 11 year old cockatiel became ill quickly, and BBV were able to squeeze me in within 90 minutes of calling. They quickly found out the reason, and tried medication and overnight monitoring, but unfortunately she didn’t improve.
Helpful ReviewAdrian was great, and I felt like I was really involved in the decision making process, including estimated costs of different options.
We unfortunately made the decision to get her euthanized. Adrian and the team were really understanding, and I couldn’t of asked for any better treatment.
Thank you Adrian and team.

Thanks Steph for your review. It is always a pleasure to see you and Steve with your menagerie of birds. There is always a new or difficult species from Darling Down Zoo for us to work with. Whether that is modifying our anaestethic masks and technique through to endoscopying a night heron! We love a challenge. Dr Adrian.

We highly recommend BBV our Rainbow lorrikete is a very spoilt boy and we won’t take him anywhere else. Has his yearly check ups and if we are concerned about anything he is straight in there. Fergus is a regular and always will be.

Everyone here is dedicated to the life & education of birds! They live for their birds!
Helpful ReviewThey have all the information you need about their natural living habits & can recommend how you mimic that for their best, healthy & long-lived lives.
They have the best Drs that will give you all the information of any surgeries your birds need: how long it may take, how it will affect the bird, if they would like to look over your bird during healing & cost prices. Nothing is hidden; These are very trustworthy & reliable people!
We personally had our pair of conures have a few babies; We managed to give away the eldest two & had the youngest ready to go when I got complacent & forgot the fan! 😭 The vets took him straight away to help him & gave me all the information but sadly we said goodbye to the young treasure & they even wrapped him up ready for burial.❤️🦜🥹
If you have birds, I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
The carpark is a challenge 😜, they probably do need a bigger place but it is easy to find.😀

Patrick saved my bird Chirpy from his foot possibly being amputated due to some nasty fibers caught around his leg. Extremely reasonably priced for the surgery and very good handling of a very difficult and cheeky bird. Thank you from me and Chirpy Pat and Brisbane Bird Vet for the good service, will be back and recommend
