Just called the vet clinic to ask a general question about a procedure and the receptionist/ staff was condescending when answering my question.

Great people, great place. They took good care of my cat and the receptionists took great time explaining the process to a very anxious me. After the process, the vet came and took time to have a discussion with me about his condition, and was really calm, patient, informative and warm. Fingers crossed he’ll live a couple more quality years, if not more!

Can’t thank the team here enough for letting us bring our puppy Luna in for an emergency consult on a Saturday. I know the clinic would have been very busy with booked consultations but they still made time for our puppy to be seen. Our puppy had been stung by a bee and got some shots for her allergic reaction and luckily she is happy and healthy thanks to the care provided.

New review: i’m pretty happy with this place, with their level of veterinary care and customer service. I’ve been here another three times since my previous review and each time I have nothing to complain about. The vets here also very understanding that not everyone has the budget for every treatment for their pet. So I would recommend this vet to anyone
old review: I have no issues with the quality of medical veterinary care, however there was a mistake as to whether I should go up to ask to pay or wait in the foyer. I suggested to the ladies that they call people when it’s time to pay but a young lady started to argue with me and when I suggested that people don’t know to go up and pay she walked off while I was talking to her midsentence. Another lady behind the desk was polite and courteous the whole time but I was disappointed by the attitude I received.

Took very good care of my 13 yr old boy, and even checked for potential issues in his senior years. Very good vets and the team actually cares. Switched to this vet for both my dogs.

One of the best veterinary hospital in Sydney that truly cares for the welfare of animals with very affordable service fees. Olivia and Greg are both highly skilled, generous with their time and attentive to the animals and their owners. They look after my three cats including one of my cats that has a very rare and chronic disease found in Australia. If not for them going well beyond their time and effort, my cat with chronic disease won’t be here today.

Our fur baby had a large cancerous lump for removal. The whole team were amazing in their care, skill, professionalism and cost. Dr Michael and Nurse Ali made us feel comfortable from the start and our beautiful boy is doing well. 10 stars!

My elderly parents had to wait 30mins whilst handing in a lost puppy. I understand the ranger needs to get in touch and aren’t always available. However when my parents tried to pass on the phone so I could ask them a few questions and explain that they needed to get to a doctors appointment, she refused saying “I don’t need to speak to your son” and refused.
I had to Google the number to call and only then the staff offered a form for them to fill out and leave. She sounded m annoyed of our visit more than anything.
Also, according to my parents, the staff member rudely told my parents to control/handle the puppy which was obviously in distress and not their own. We quite often hand in lost dogs but never again to this place.
Used to be the warmest, friendliest family Vet clinic.
Now just rude and not so bothered.

Reply to the owner: I understand the rangers being busy and unavailable with much appreciation towards your clinic’s service of accepting lost pets to reunite them with they’re owners. We were twice reunited with our dogs thanks to your clinic and those who went out of their way to drop them off. My father who initially found the dog, called mum to pick him up so they could do what someone did for them once.
Now here’s the issue;
According to the staff member, If the ranger is unavailable, the person handing in the lost dog isn’t allowed to leave or take the found pet home. Understandable.
But, shouldn’t they at least not be told to control a dog which isn’t their own? Couldn’t a staff member put a leash on the pup and taken over rather than stressing out my elderly parents?
Why was it so difficult for the staff member to speak to me when my parents who aren’t fluent in English handed over their phone to them? I had to find the number on google to call the same person who refused to speak to me so I could explain that they had a medical appointment to attend.
Worst of all, what delayed my parents leaving was not the rangers being unavailable or the out of date microchip, it was the incompetence of the staff member as only when I explained my parent’s situation they “offered” a form which they could sign to leave.
“Enfield Vet Hospital in a difficult situation” – there should be manuals and procedures for when lost pets are handed in, assuming rangers will not always be available. Those who are doing the right thing should not be inconvenienced more than what’s necessary. ie. being advised of options such as signing a form before they’ve waited 30mins believing that they can’t leave until the ranger answers. They should have been provided an option to sign the form well before they were calling me in panic as they were not allowed to leave.
I know for a fact your clinic doesn’t have to accept lost pets. If you can’t do it right simply don’t do it. It really wasn’t so much the delay in leaving for my parents, it was more about not being able to leave which frightened them. Refusing to speak to their son who they’ve called for help probably didn’t help either.
The long review and reply is from utter disappointment as this was my vet clinic my father took me as a child and saw compassion and empathy.
I could really sense much disappointment from both mum and dad, which is why I write.
Hope our family’s thoughts aren’t brushed off as “harsh”, only a “short delay”, “difficult situation” and “we did our best” amongst other excuses.
Helpful ReviewAlso hoping the owners care enough to read reviews rather than the staff who created this mess be allowed to brush it under the carpet.

As one of the owners of this practice I would like to know that we do take your concerns very seriously. We are sorry that your parents were inconvenienced and kept waiting. We have not meant to cause you or your parents any unnecessarily stress. We were trying to help but I understand this could have been done better and more efficiently. I would like to have the chance to speak with you in person. If you could email me your number I will happily call you at a convenient time (reception@enfieldvet.com) or call me on 97473999. Warm regards, Michael Morrice

Chester our elderly pug was treated by Michael. Chester was in very bad shape and we were unsure whether he’d make it. The care received for both us and Chester was the best we have ever encountered. Ally is an absolute gem too. Thank you Enfield Veterinary Hospital!
