Passionate, caring and thorough. John reliably answered the phone on a Friday night on a public holiday while other vets in the area were diverting calls to answering machines. It took him 6 minutes to leave what he was doing and meet us at the clinic to attend to our Puppy who was having a severe allergic reaction to a bite. We were not locals to the area, just visiting for a few days, regardless of this his level of swift support was invaluable to our Puppy. He was informative and comforting throughout our experience. John’s genuine passion for animals was evident throughout our visit and I would feel blessed to have him as our local vet. I echo some other comments, support local small business’s that genuinely care for your pets. Thank you John!

Dangerous vet. Should be removed from practising. Gives out wrong medication, failing to recognise life threatening situations.

John Wright has been established in Culburra Beach for 20+ years! He has always treated his Patients, big and small, with kindness, gentleness and accurate treatment! He is one of the few remaining Privately owned Pet clinics on the South Coast and his fees are very reasonable! I would not hesitate in recommending him if your beloved Pet needs attention!

On holidays with ur fur babys or a local no worries johns By far the best most knowledgeable vet in culburra beach I have 5 chihuahuas I can and have rang John at 12am at night he was more than happy to get out of bed meet me at his practice friend of mine went to other vet I then sent them to John at culburra veterinary clinic half the price and better service they received with John I highly recommend going to his practice from nail clipping to surgery had it all done with my dogs hear 100% confidence.

Highly recommend. We were holidaying in the area and our dog got attacked by another dog unfortunately whilst we were walking her on lead. He was available after hours to view our fur baby right away and treat her and immediately got her in the next day for followups and treatment. Support your local vets and people like John. He went above and beyond and we appreciate it.

We were holidaying and our westie decided it would be a great idea to rub her eyes into the mud at the bay, when we couldn’t flush the mud out and Dr John squeezed us in at a moments notice just before NYE, cleaning her eye and due to his diligence finding an ulcer we didn’t know about. He took the time to show us the ulcer and explain treatments, recommending the less invasive approach, squeezing us in for a follow up the next day too. I was so surprised how competitive his time and drugs were and I’m happy to say our fur baby is doing great. If it wasn’t for John being a top bloke Molly may have lost her eye. He really cares about his patients and their humans!

Highly recommend my local vet. John and Jen go above and beyond. Our little sausage got very sick and John went out of his way to get all the answer’s for a full recovery, not even allowing lockdown to get in the way.

Absolute brilliant vet. We are travelling through and my dog had a serious eye problem, I called Dr John and he said come straight away. He spent time with her, checked her thoroughly and diagnosed the problem, gave her the necessary treatment and honestly she was 100% so much better the following day. He gave me information to follow up with our usual vet. Such a nice and caring man and chatted happily with us for quite some time explaining things thoroughly as well as friendly chit chat. If I lived in this area I would not hesitate to take Maggie to him again. We are so grateful for his expertise. I seriously question the previous review! He was an absolute gem with our girl.

Took my dogs in for a simple nail clip. I’ve had dogs for 30 years and never been to a vet as bad as this. Ive never had a vet DRAG my dogs by the lead in order to weigh them, I’ve never had a vet wrestle my dogs to clip nails, and I’ve never had a vet draw blood whilst trimming nails, all with no apology. My dogs were scared from the start, good judge of character they are. I should have walked out seeing how uncomfortable they were there. Thankfully I didn’t take them there for anything that required serious treatment, and now never would for anything. If you can’t see what you’re doing and can’t do it without causing harm, might be time to retire and leave it to those that can do the job with care.
