Second visit on a Friday for lunch at this classic pub. Old school fit out and alot of character. Staff great and keep very busy. Reasonably busy on Friday lunch, but meal came out in without aong wait time. Had the Chicken parma. Good size and reasonably tasty. Good size of crisp chips and salad on side. I had the Southern fried chicken burger last time. That was my fav and would have that one again. Highly recommended this little corner hotel for anyone on the area.
Came in today for a group lunch, but unfortunately 2 of our group didn’t get their order as it was lost.

Great pub with a retro feel. Plenty of different spaces to sit (inside, outside, rooftop).

A TRUE old Fitzroy pub that has barely changed since I would come here as an art student in the early ‘90s. Tucked away so the dreary posh gits from Hawthorn never find it 😉. Cosy (2x fireplaces), good music, excellent staff, and WELL PRICED, tasty meals.

After reading the reviews, partner and i went here for dinner on Wednesday. Must say quite underwhelmed by the food. We ordered the Chicken Parma and the Beef & Guinness pie.
The portion sizes are very generous. The pie itself was tasty but the accompaniments were a let down – the mash was dry and lacked seasoning.
The parma again was generous but was overcooked, the salad side was bland and the cheese on the parma was far from ideal.
The drinks though, the bartender knows his stuff and well done.

Was very excited coming to the hotel…if you’re fans of Offspring you will recognise it as the hang out that they went to…very friendly staff , great food at great prices…can’t wait to go again the next time we are in Melbourne ❤️

Inviting, warm, reliable pub with friendly and accommodating staff. We found this a great place for a quick yummy meal before a footy game – also appreciated that meals are served in decent portions that are filling. but not so large you end up wasting lots of food. There’s a large amount of space and seating in the beer garden and rooftop, which is great for people needing/wanting to reduce covid risk.
