A gorgeous cafe in Marrickville. They serve great coffee, breakfast and the staff are super nice and friendly. My French toast with bacon, banana and maple syrup was one of the best I have had in a long time. Good portion size and lots of syrup. Brought me back to the good old days in Canada š
Would happily come here again. Itās also vegan friendly.

Food wasn’t the best, I got the Reuben and it was very oily, my boyfriend picked up the vegan breakfast bowl and it was very small amount. It was the only place open in a public holiday tho.

It’s like going to your Nana’s place in the best way š decor is a mish mash of antique furniture, the crockery is unique and mismatched and there are little china figurines and collectibles everywhere. The staff are delightful, inclusive and best of all, it’s dog friendly and right across the road from Enmore Park! Haven’t had a chance to eat here yet (it’s always busy because they’re so great) but the coffee is some of the best in the area.

Itās been a few weeks but I just canāt get the disappointing vibes out of my brain. Pre-Covid I went to this cafe every month or so for a coffee or lunch. Back again in mid July for lunch and itās just not the same at all.
We got a vegan burger and a vegan spinach (not fussy vegans, just liked those menu items) thingā¦ both, without ripping into nuanced detail, were maybe microwaved. Iām sure it wasnāt? The burger bun was dryer than the attitude of the human behind the counter who had multiple tantrums during and directly involving our visit.
A banana smoothie was too much work and the eftpos machine not working was the end of the worldā¦ maybe a slightly earlier night before work would help. The rustic and room-filling nego energy and sloppy but full-priced food offering was just a bummer.
Iām sure it was a bad day for the team and this great little safe space in the inner west just had a mood. I hope.
