Amazing customer service as well as the actual infrastructure/cellar door/building (however you describe it). Tried some amazing wine, with very personable and attentive staff. Unfortunately, I stopped in just as I was leaving Clare (as I sell/wanted to try the Traditional Riesling). Perfect combination between a ‘well developed’ cellar door and personable and friendly staff (coming from industry perspective – usually one or t’other unfortunately). Was able to describe all the wines perfectly. Only regret is not spending enough time here! Brewery was incredible (Pilsner especially). The restaurant also looked amazing, but didn’t get a chance to try.

Stopped by for the brewery and had the beer tasting and sat in the beer garden. Had a nice laid back feel and was a nice setting. Didn’t head in for the wine tasting or the restaurant but looked very nice.

Easy, relaxed, wide range of wines, no charge for tasting, helpful and informative staff. We arrived on bikes, bought bottles and had an offer to drop them off at our caravan site. All round excellent and enjoyable. Recommended.

The Sangiovese here is just absolutely wonderful (including the Sangiovese Rose). This is a fantastic place to come for any wine goers.
Huge selection from their tasting menu so be prepared to have a driver or alternatively just stay for a long time and enjoy the scenery.

This was the best experience we had in Clare. The place is beautiful the service was fantastic and we love beers too so we were able to combine beer and wine tasting so it was fantastic! They offer some basic food for lunch at the brewery and we sat by the nice picnic tables in the lawn.

We spent a lovely afternoon at Pikes! It is terrific that the wine tastings are free – feels a little more relaxed and friendly. Other wineries we visited had tasting fees – $10 and $20 which if you bought disappeared but a little like blackmail
Andrew served us and was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful – a big tick as it made our stay even more pleasant
Ended up buying over 2 doz wines .. only disappointment was that the First Cut had sold out but Andrew provided plenty of substitutes 😜🥰

Not kid friendly. We came here because it was the first winery in the Clare valley region that came up when we searched for wineries that would be good for kids. It was really bad for kids. The staff were quite rude and began by recommending us to go to the bakery. Lovely grounds and the drink was fine but definitely wouldn’t take kids again.

We had a wonderful tasting experience with Andrew. Spent plenty of time going through wines tastings were excellent and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Very refreshing to not be rushed and no pressure to buy (though we did) and no charge for tastings which was a pleasant surprise
