Went on a Friday afternoon with my family off 10. It was very busy with other patrons, but they were still able to bring out the orders with no mistakes. A bit of a delay with some of the orders but overall it was good.

Great cider, friendly people, nice place. But for $22 the chickpea salad should DEFINITELY come with chicken or some form of protein!! The handful of dried chickpeas, cranberries, and walnuts on top of half a bag of prepackaged greens, while tastey, definitely does not constitute a meal, and $7 for chicken is pretty steep – you’re now paying $29 for a pub salad.

We enjoyed the Oktoberfest event

The beer was great. The Weizen and the Dinkel Dunkel were lovely. The food was very good for a reasonable price and suited the Oktoberfest culture. The Blues band were really good; however, it did not suit the Oktoberfest feeling, perhaps the change of band was “last minute”, but some typical Oktoberfest music could have been played via spotify etc. while the band had a break. “Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit” helps drinking more beer by the way😅

I booked a table here for lunch with me (Mum) and my 2 children. The staff were super lovely (my 9 yr old daughter was quite taken with Nick!), helpful and service was quick. When asking about the different beers, they happily let me try different ones to see what I liked. Coming back for sure…..maybe with my husband, no children an in an Uber! Thanks for a lovely lunch!

Not vegetarian friendly.
I ordered vegetarian nachos. Mate ordered beef nachos. Vegetarian nachos were literally half the size (same amount of chips/guac/beans/tomatoes but minus the meat). Both cost $22.
Online menu had ‘spicy cauli-burger’ but the actual menu did not have it available.
Food also took a long time to arrive.
The brewing vats in the background looked cool I guess.

Love that this place is dog friendly. Great range of cold beers too. We found the food a bit average, fish was dry and the cuban was overloaded with cheese and butter that we couldn’t taste the pork. Will come back and try again though.

Pre-rugby early dinner and drinks. We were a group of 11 so trying to book anything in Paddington is difficult. Our solution was to come here. 10 min by taxi to the Alliance Stadium , great food and beers a win all round. Spacious and friendly, would thoroughly recommend as an alternative.
