Nice place for a cocktail. The bar area is upstairs from the shop area and is unusually laid out. It has limited seating options and it’s somewhat restricted in space so may well be crowded during busy times. For us it was off season so we had no problem with getting seated.

One of my all time favourite places…the ground floor is a place of timeless beauty, and then one walks up the stairs and enters a world of exhilaration and inebriation… I could spend my days (and nights) sipping Amari and Vermouths without any regrets…Fantasyland.

Popped in whilst we were in town for the night and were very pleasantly surprised by the cosiest bar upstairs, and very relaxed atmosphere. We ordered some bar snacks and cocktails, all of which were delicious. Must say the cocktails are probably the best we had tried anywhere- the one with tequila, peach and Tabasco, I am still dreaming of it and trying to recreate it at home (with not much luck so I guess we will be back for that).

The most wonderful transformation of an old pub. The upstairs verandah is a mixture of welcoming leather chairs and lush greenery. Short, thoughtful wine list and light (cold) food to accompany. We’ll be back to try out what bar wizardry can offer! Worth the trip from Melbourne.

Lovely place to have a cocktail. We were there this Saturday. I found the two guys at the upstairs bar to be rude. One ignored me when I was trying to get his attention. The other one half way through helping me started serving someone else and didn’t even apologise. Wanted to have a drink but didn’t like the rude service. We left. The girl at the door was nice though.

The good: the lady who served us was very nice and knowledgeable. The space is lovely, the bar upstairs is very nicely built and the outside upstairs deck is lovely.
Helpful ReviewThe not so good: the owners are sitting at the bar and actually aren’t overly hospitable people.
The bar itself is a nursery/glassware store/bottle shop/furniture store. Seeing this beautiful building used as an unsuitable furniture space on the lower level is a shame. I guess covid has knocked it around which is understandable, however the multi use takes away from it rather than adds in this case. In short, the potential is there, I think the owners are capable, however it’s definitely not hit it’s stride yet.
