Great hotel. Nice decor and great staff. The food is pretty good too. A memorable visit for this out of towner. The barman treated us to a story about the laboratory in Berghain in Germany so we’ve added that to our trip next year along with a funnel and some hose.

Very rude staff, they clearly didn’t want to be there. Over-priced food and drinks. There are many nice venues in the area but this isn’t one of them. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place 👎

Great place, good drinks, fast service. When you first walk inside your greeted by a cozy wooden bar with great beer, wine and cocktails to offer. Then when you walk to the back, it opens up with fairy lights, greenery and long tables. The vibes here are amazing, they’ve done an amazing job with the space offering alot of places to sit and chat. Would come here again.

Dave is so personable and friendly! Knows all the best drinks and great at recommending drinks tailored to your taste. Not afraid to let his hair down and boogie with patrons. Highly recommend the Marrickville Hotel!

Unfortunately the staff had this sniffy ‘holier than thou’ attitude. Really quite unfriendly. It all seemed like a bit of a preen-scene catering to the people who worked there as opposed to providing customers with baseline friendly service. Shame. Better experiences to be had at other venues in our fair city. Nice stuff in the walls.

Great ratings and we had high expectations for the food here, unfortunately the food was very average, we tried fish cakes and two dishes, they both tasted the same. Beer and atmosphere good but don’t eat here.

Went here for a beer with mates. Lovely quirky hotel. Love all the coliurful fairy lights. Great atmosphere. Would definitely go again and hopefully try a few things on the food menu.
