Four people for breakfast. The food was excellent. Wait staff looked and acted like they would rather be somewhere else. Not unfriendly they just didnt seem to be able to crack a smile.

Nice spot for breakfast or lunch on the deck before/after a walk along the Hastings River…grab a coffee while waiting for the ferry. Good food and customer service. Reasonable prices.

Found this on pupsy, this is not a dog friendly place, we were instructed to leave her on the grass outside. Server was flat, unfriendly and disinterested. The setup wasn’t going to work out for us so we cancelled our booking and left.

I said that the setup wasn’t going to work out for us so we left. I also said that the business clearly instructed us to leave my dog outside. This is the truth and I did not say anything was wrong with that. We were willing to see what the setup was like which was why we turned up. Did not expect to be the “exception”, I had thought there was a chance that the grassy area that my dog was allowed to sit at was close to the outside area we would have been sitting at. My dog has separation anxiety and so, as mentioned, I did not think the setup was going to work so we left.
I am not lying about the server who was flat, unfriendly and disinterested. This was exactly how I was “greeted” and I’m happy to share my experience publicly if people are driving out of their way to visit a cafe that a non-affiliated (but trusted) site is advertising as dog friendly. A cafe not being able to accommodate dogs is not unusual. A disengaged waitress is, which was why I had mentioned it.
Your one star review is not related to my dog being accommodated. As mentioned, I went via a non-affiliated website, and also dogs not being allowed inside the restaurant was communicated to me at the time of booking. Your unfriendly server was the reason the business received the one star review. The reply to my review further concretes this unfriendly tone, with accusations/assumptions of a customer thinking they would be “the exception”.

Very ordinary. I’ve had the Ocean catch before and it was nothing like this. Very small serve. No I hadn’t yet touched it. Barramundi was so small and flat like it had been run over by a car. Burger and club sandwich looked great but super greasy. Dripping with butter. Not worth the money. The view is great

Came here for breakfast. The Big Breakfast was plentiful and quite good. Unfortunately though when I asked for the sausages to be replaced by halloumi I was charged extra for the halloumi..even though I wasn’t getting the sausages. It left me feeling somewhat dissatisfied

had a tiered brekkie there this morning, Vikki won a competition for 4 persons, well, the Food, the Service was 10/10 first class.this was seriously awesome food, we will be back there many times. they also do Dinner, so we will do that very soon.

Lovely spot nice food and friendly service. Plenty of parking and overlooks the river. Long way from the CBD but well worth the drive. Go for a ferry ride afterwards!😊

Met 2 friends for lunch. Very busy. Meals were a good size. 1 star missing due to some not so nice lettuce among salad leaves. Staff great very friendly and amenable.
