I have no idea how they have such great Facebook reviews. The staff are kind, and I would never speak horribly about anyone in particular and I’m extremely grateful for the vet community staff and all they do. But Selwoods are not a good vet clinic, I’m sorry to say. Simple but important emergency visits for a relatives dog twice in a week costing almost thousands for the problem to not be solved and they have no idea how to further fix. Walked out & went to our usual vet further away & fixed that day, no dramas only a few hundred dollars and threw in our dogs usual extras in the appointment. If you want people to guess what your animals problem is with 0 confidence & thousands of dollars that don’t listen to the information provided go to Selwoods. If you want a GREAT consistent and reliable, compassionate vet who is ALWAYS willing to listen and provide everything you ask, go to North Richmond Vet Hospital. The extra drive is WORTH EVERY SECOND. I’m not a vet, but I know when you are good at what you do people don’t leave reviews like this. I know mistakes happen, and I’m very forgiving but this wasn’t a really complicated issue. And it feels like just money hungry business. Great at Santa photos, not with dealing with medical stuff, sorry.

The owner and practice manager are dicks. They treat the students like slaves , leaving them unsupervised with very sick animals and no guidance. If you think your pet is getting taken care of you’re wrong. After surgery they’re left by themselves waking up from anaesthetic very scared and sick. Our dog was left shaking and traumatised after a relatively minor procedure which cost a fortune! They’re rude and only care about money. DO NOT GO HERE!!

Vaccinated two kittens, one after treatment of an eye infection/conjunctivitis. Very professional and gentle, explained issues, clean and well setup vet, appointments easy with reminders, no long queues.
