One of the worst veterinary clinics out there! Beware of their problems with routine procedures and record keeping!!!
My ragdoll cat Lucy was desexed on 03/01/23 by Heidelberg Veterinary Clinic. She was stitched improperly and was bleeding quite a bit from her abdominal wound. I had to take her back in for the wound to be revised the next day. This could have been all avoided if they took a bit more time to close the abdominal wound properly in the first place!
I am now trying to list my ragdoll cat on Central Animal Records and I have put down Heidelberg Veterinary Clinic as they have clearly scanned my cat’s microchip at the time of desexing. However, the clinic is now telling me that they cannot approve the listing. Their reasoning is that while they obviously scanned my cat, they haven’t documented that they have scanned my cat in their records. In other words, they are REFUSING my cat to be listed due to their POOR RECORDKEEPING!

Finally a vet who isn’t trying to upsell products, but is more concerned with the issue at hand. The staff are polite and helpful, efficient, and have a ready, welcoming smile. And they definitely care about their furry clients.

I’ve only ever used the emergency part of this vet but I’ve used them multiple times for 3 different dogs and they are absolutely fantastic! The nurses are so lovely and calming during what can be a stressful time and handled my grumpy old dog so well when we couldn’t give him his tablet, then didn’t even charge us for her time. My first dog contracted Parvo many years ago and we brought him here, he had a 20% chance of living but they saved him and he lived a solid 16years!

We adopted a puppy and have been taking him to the clinic for all his vax and puppy healthcare. The team are so helpful and friendly and we know Romie is always in good hands with them. Props to Dr Tom for making sure vet visits are always as comfortable and stress free for Rome as possible!

This vet has overcharged me again. Sold me flea treatment for $67 when is available on line for $44. I’m on a pension and today’s visit cost me $370.

After a misdiagnosed with Bundoora vet, Heidelberg vet was kind enough to book Caesar in for the consultation and found the root cause of his leg. Tom is a great vet. Based on his diagnosis, Caesar was booked in for the surgery the next day. The vet nurse was also kind enough to call the next day to check how’s the dog doing and etc. I never experienced such a personal service with a vet clinic before. Caesar is recovering and I have no worry to take my dog under Tom’s care and the whole team.
