Love this clinic and the staff. Everyone is super friendly. They treat my pooches like family – every visit and every phone call. Always willing to answer any and all of my questions. Highly recommend!

Good prices & great service, including following up on queries we had after our pup’s operation. Everyone we dealt with was professional and happy to answer a million questions without making it feel like we were an inconvenience. Reception area is quiet, so good for anxious pets. Would totally recommend.

The kindness and compassion at this vet clinic is outstanding. Our dog needed emergency surgery when his intestines twisted in on themselves. First of all – I appreciated them acting so quickly, which I truly believe saved our dog. Secondly – they also knew their facilities limitations. The surgery ended up being a lot more extensive, and needed a specialist in Melbourne. Once again they acted quickly contacting the centre for us, and keeping us updated along the way so we could get him there as quickly as possible. They genuinely care about the well-being of every animal/owner that walks in. I am very proud to have these guys as our local vet!

Recently I took Daisy, our beautiful Dachshund here and we saw Dr Julia. It was for a second opinion for end of life. The staff here were incredible and took the time to see us at short notice, all the staff were caring and sensitive. Daisy passed away a few days later at home, I notified the clinic of Daisy’s passing and only a couple of days later received the most beautiful card in the mail signed by each member of the clinic, enclosed were some ‘Forget me not’ seeds for us to plant in the garden in Daisy’s memory. Thank you again.

All the vets at this clinic have helped me so much. One of my cats has bad anxiety and my kitten has brain damage after being abused. The vets all nursed my kitten back to health and gave me the answers and advice I needed. They have always been there to help, even in emergencies. My cat with anxiety is slowly getting better, and again I was given the advice I needed. Thanks guys.

I would like to say big thanks to Jen Cao and all the staff at Lara Pet Hospital for helping me with both my cat and dog. I have found Jen to be attentive, knowledgeable and extremely caring in managing the various issues both of my girls have had. Multiple instances required specialised care and Jen took the time to research management thoroughly. Highly recommend this business for any local pet owners!

So happy with the care they give our fur babies, and how well they accommodate all their different needs and personalities – which is especially challenging during covid times. The follow up is always appreciated. They weren’t the first vets we tried when we moved here, but their focus on caring for the animals (and parents) is better than another place that was more worried about their blinds in the consultation room.

Thank you to the team.
My Husband presented our much loved Buttons yesterday and had to make rapid decisions for her care fast. The team supported my husband to make the tough decisions after giving us all the information we needed. Sadly she was put to sleep.
I was at work when all of this was happening and had no idea she had passed as the day before she was healthy and running around. They were accommodating so I could say my last goodbyes.

You made our last cuddles and goodbyes comfortable and we feel she is being loved even after she has gone

Jenni, Jen, Jamie, Julia, Belinda (and anyone else i have missed) are absolutely amazing!! Never in my life have i met more compassionate human beings. The way they took care of my Cats was amazing!
My cat was diagnosed with stomatitis, this resulted in her having all her teeth extracted. Just 3 weeks after her surgery my 9 year old cat suddenly became ill, Julia was amazing! she was there when i had to make the hardest decision that us pet owners have to make:
Even in covid i was allowed to hold my fur baby in my arms as she feel asleep forever. Not only does Lara Pet Hospital take care of animals they way they deal with people is incredible! they know i get anxious with my pets, but never once do they judge you or make you feel stupid! I trust these people with my life, and of cause my pets lives!

Im a registered cat breeder and i have taken my cats to many vet across Geelong and Melbourne over the last 10years including “specialists vets”, Lara Pet Hospital is the ONLY vet that cares more about the animal then money. I love the kind and loving staff who always remembers your name and animals names. I think the clinic is hygienic and clean. Im so happy I’ve finally found a vet i can trust. I encourage averyone to take thier animals there and see for themselves how brilliant they really are. Thankyou Julia and Lisa i dont trust anyone eles to look after my animals.

Can not possibly speak highly enough of these guys! Professional, caring and attentive.
Having two whippets that regularly stroodle way too hard and manage hurt themselves in a variety of unusual ways, they have always given us fantastic advice and service. Even at the drop of a hat when we need it most and have cared for our dogs like they were their own.

Do not take injured wildlife here. I found a baby magpie that was abandoned from parents and I was feeding it every two hours and rang the serendip sanctuary several times and could not get through, so I rang the vet and she said to bring him in and the leopold wildlife rescue will pick him up and rehabilitate him until he is better. I rang three hours later to see how he was going and they euthanized him because he was malnourished and weak. What do they think I was taking him in for? To be fed and looked after as I was at work and couldn’t look after him until that night. Could they not have called me first to see if I can take over again? I was willing to feed him every two hours and if I had know they were just going to put him to sleep, because they didn’t have time for him, I would have taken him into my workplace. Could not believe the heartlessness of these people. Never again will anyone of my animals nor wildlife be put in the hands of these people.
The response below from vet. Here’s the story-
My dog got kennel cough from this clinic after going in for a check up on her eyes. Seven days later, she started coughing. I had to ring the vet to enquire as I was away and my mum rang me with the news of my dogs cough. The vet said it would go away on its own. I took her in 1week week later as her cough was still there. That’s why she was in that many days after her original appointment, it didn’t start two weeks later and they were well aware of that. And they were kind enough to charge me for the appointment.
