This is the third vet I’ve tried to get my dog into today who’s eye is swollen and more than likely just needs antibiotics. They are not unique in that they clearly do not actually have compassion for animals. To be clear they’re open they just won’t see my dog because they’re not taking any new patients. Their alternative is for me to take my dog to an emergency clinic, for those aren’t familiar with prices of emergency clinics they are significantly more costly and I’ve already spent $13,000 on my dogs pelvic surgery because of a broken pelvis. I know people are overworked and tired, but you would expect a veterinary clinic to have some compassion for an animal in need, specially when they’re being asked to do some thing that is within reason like see a dog within business hrs.

These guys are just awful. Zero bedside manner from the reception, I’ve been bringing my dogs there for years and years and they always act like they’ve never seen me before. They supposedly keep Saturday open for emergency visits but I called the minute they opened and they were already “double booked”. Long hold times and then when they pick back up they always act like they haven’t spoken to me yet. I can’t stress enough how terrible the front desk staff is. Could care less about your dogs situation, it’s like speaking to robots. My dog was spayed here, and I explained her subsequent negative symptoms that I wanted her seen for, and there was absolutely zero regard for my concern. The doctors just couldn’t care less about patient care and relationships, it’s a total churn and burn operation. Will be very happy to take my business elsewhere now. If you want to be treated like a human being that matters, go elsewhere.

The absolute best Vet Office! Dr. Kim and Dr. Quezada are so wonderful and helpful and the entire staff are so friendly and respond to questions quickly. I’ve always received the best care for my puppies! I wouldn’t take my puppies anywhere else!

BEWARE. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.
Unlike what their website says, they DO NOT operate a TRUE same-day urgent care for pets.
The website says, ” No appointment is required for emergencies or urgent care. We do ask, when possible, that you call us ahead of time to give us time to prepare”
I just called and they said they don’t have any openings today for my dog’s new onset vomiting, diarrhea, and possible skin infection. I spoke with a man named Melcado?
Deeply disappointed by the false advertisement and lack of compassion.

I chose West LA Vet because they were rated really well online, but my experience with them was that they are more interested in making a quick buck than taking care of customers and their pets. I brought my cat to the clinic twice, once for a check-up and once for a booster shot, and both times the vet and her front desk staff were unaccommodating and disinterested in answering my questions. Furthermore, when I came to get the booster shot they charged me a second time for the set of shots, which was not included on the original estimate and never discussed with me prior to their demanding more money. When I disputed the charges, I was dismissed with a half-hearted apology and no attempt to remedy the situation. I don’t recommend going here if you expect any kind of care or concern from your vet, as I was shown none and neither was my cat.

Unfortunately, we had to take our cat in for help crossing over the rainbow. The staff and doctor were extremely sensitive to our situation and very accommodating. They kept our little boy until the crematory was able to pick him up. Today, we received a very thoughtful and heartfelt condolence card in the mail that was signed by doctors and staff. The are a great group of people.

Dr Kim and the rest of the team are awesome. They really care about the animals and I trust them completely, which is hard for me when my dog is concerned. I was scared for her getting a full dental cleaning with anesthesia but West La veterinary did an excellent job and my dog came through great. They take good care of the pets and are straightforward with their pricing. My only gripe is that they aren’t open on mondays but that’s not the biggest deal.

I had the worst experience ever! The Doctor was nice however the staff was the WORST! I took my kitten to a blood test exam, she HURT my kitten and after she told me that they didn’t have the materials to do the exams, so if i want she would send her blood to other lab and i would pay twice of the price. I had an appointment and she only mentioned this AFTER HURTING my kitten. The name of the staff is Luisa, she didn’t apologize and said that if I wanted i could just take my kitten to another place!!! SO unprofessional and disrespectful!!!! WORST PLACE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

The office is really nice and very clean. All the women working the front desk were lovely and the vet is patient and kind. I was very nervous about a lump on my pups belly and she took the time to explain all the options to me. Gave me a price quote before doing anything. I felt like her treatment recommendations were because she cared about being cautious and not because she wanted me to spend more money. Definitely recommend this office.
