Reviewed on GoogleWent through the after hours emergency service last night (Dr Kennedy) and have to say that he was fantastic! Despite my dog having very tricky veins, he managed to get the blood sample he needed and processed very quickly so he could determine the best course of action. He also agreed to seeing our other dog last minute (who had unfortunately ingested the same poison) once we discovered she had started displaying the same symptoms. He informed us of the costs every step of the way so we weren’t blindsided which we really appreciated.
Helpful ReviewVery kind, professional and efficient service.

Reviewed on GoogleThis is a wonderful vet clinic. The staff are very friendly. I only had to pick up meds for my little dog but they ordered it in for me & it was there that afternoon & cheaper than my home vet.

Reviewed on GoogleExtremely bad euthanasia experience, horrific to be exact. I ended up telling them to leave my house and stop what they were doing.
As a vet nurse I know what the euthanasia process is and was disgusted by their lack of knowledge regarding sedatives, dog handling and skill.
Still received a hefty bill for nothing.
Will NEVER use this clinic again.
Had Willunga Vets attend the following morning and they were fantastic.

Dear Emma we are very sorry if you had a poor euthansia experience – euthanasias are always a very stressful time for all concerned. However we have searched our data base & we do not have you as a client & we have never provided any service to you! We are wondering why if you are a vet nurse you would use a different clinic to where you worked? All of our vets & nurses are very well trained & very compassionate. This is supported by the number of 5 star reviews plus the thankyou cards & even gifts we receive after performing a euthanasia. Every day our staff work tirelessly to help our clients & their animals often going above & beyond client expectations. As they are all such a dedicated team we are sure they will continue to do so.

Reviewed on GoogleFirstly I would like to say I appreciate the fast action by both vets in coming out to the foal. While I am happy with the timeframe I am less happy with the advice, the cost and the results. Of course no one will be happy with a dead foal. I get that. But in this case I feel the whole situation was handled with less professionalism than it could have been. Please see the points below.
1. I was not advised of the enormous cost of the medicines dispensed – I was just issued them.
2. I believe the issue could and should have been diagnosed much sooner by 2 professional and experienced vets.
I do take into account that it is not an exact science but as I said in my email complaint until some responsibility is taken by the Vets for their diagnosis and results (as well as for the cost of the medicines they feel comfortable dispensing with no warning on the price tag) people will never feel comfortable calling them or with their invoices. Transparency and responsibility are key here to retaining custom.

Dear Richard
Helpful ReviewWe would like to respond to your review as we did to your initial complaint.
Our vets are very professional & experienced – we have been providing services to our clients for over 34 years & clearly if we were not professional our practice would not have survived, or continued to provide services to the number of clients that we do.
Please note the number of 5-star reviews here.
May we remind you once again, that you chose to ignore the advice of both of our experienced vets to euthanise your foal as the prognosis was so poor. You also instructed our vets to treat the foal rather than euthanise & at no stage did you ask about prices of medications or costs to treat your foal. We believe your expectation for a vet to give you an exact price of every medication prior to administering is unrealistic, you were however warned that a particular drug was expensive, but was required if there was any chance of saving your foal. It is our hope that when you become more experienced with horses you will realise that the service that you received was extremely professional & the advice you were given was absolutely correct at every stage during the development of your foal’s illness. Also the prices charged were very fair & reasonable considering that our veterinary medications are not supported by any PBS scheme.
Your bill for $1300 which included 3 on farm visits, mileage, blood testing, treatments & medications is very much standard for the veterinary services we provided.
