Lovely little cellar door experience here! We came in late afternoon, only one staff memeber on which was the owners wife? (Need correction). Anyways she was fabulous, lovely set us up with a little cheese platter and served us and another couple at the same time.

Lovely story behind the vineyard and delicious wines to go with it as well, can not rate highly.

    Well Done! ✔️

Lovely spot, great wines and super friendly people. The man running our tasting had some really interesting info to share about the winemaker and the region more generally. Dog friendly, too, which was lovely

A very very pleasant experience. Beautiful setting – we sat in the covered outdoor area with our dog … yes, your pooch is lovingly welcomed by the owner, George. A small but interesting and well crafted suite of wines to taste. A little pricey but it reflects the small scale nature and level of craft put into the wines – ans it certainly didn’t stop us buying a bottle of each we tasted! George was extremely generous with his time and a pleasure to chat with – his knowledge of wine and passion for his winery, family and life was obvious. We’re so glad that we visited Paradigm Hill.

This was the first and only winery in our plans, but after going through the tasting we realized we should spend more time in the area. The person who served us was incredibly knowledgeable and was really passionate about the vineyard and others we could visit. She helped us narrow down which wines we liked and suggested another place nearby that had we had a great success at as well.
This is one of the only places in the region making a Riesling.

A wonderful place to visit for good wine and gorgeous setting on the peninsula. Though the Pinot Noir and Shiraz were both very good, my husband leans towards Reislings (me too), and during the hot days, I’ve enjoyed Rose, so we bought both and they are delicious. They also serve delicious, filtered rain water and owner was exceptionally friendly. Highly recommend!

Nice wines in a lovely setting. It’s not quite in the top echelon of the Peninsula wineries for mine but it tries very hard. The tasting experience is carefully and skillfully managed and if you get a nice day the surroundings are idyllic. We’ve been twice and have enjoyed the experience both times. Recommended.

Interesting wines, 6 on tasting with a $15 fee. I’m happy to support that, because I didn’t enjoy any enough to buy (neither did my mates) For me, disappointing with such a great location and potential.

Beautiful space. Don’t get out off by the super long driveway.

    $15 tastings for 5x 40mL glasses.

Unfortunately I don’t rate the wines… Maybe you will!

    Winery driven by passion

Its always lovely to find a hidden gem especially in a location that you frequent. We discovered Paradigm Hill on our way to one of our favourite lunch spots and decided to give it a try. The long hedge edged driveway lent an air of anticipation and discovery.

It was a cosy little place with a warm fireplace overlooking a beautiful vineyard. The range of wines on offer was small but exclusive with a definite focus on quality rather than quantity.

Being small eaters, we found their charcuterie “board” ideal for a intimate lunch for two. Well thought out and perfectly executed with tasty morsels that complemented their wines that ranged from Reisling through to a cold climate Shiraz,

Normally Shiraz drinkers, we gravitated towards their excellent Pinots which we found reminiscent of their more full bodied New Zealand cousins.

The L`Ami Sage was lovely but it was their limited range Les Cinq that caught our attention with its wonderful bouquet unlike any that we have encountered to date.

This is definitely on our list of favourites for our future visits to the Peninsula

George was an absolute pleasure to spend time with. Upon arrival we were greeted by George and his lovely wife. The view is pristine and the air fresh. While tasting the wines George told us about the history of the Mornington peninsula and the wine it produces as well as the extreme measures he takes to get the best flavours the weather has to offer the vines.

Having been recommended to myself and my companion by James from 10 Minutes we headed up the long driveway to the cellar door of Paradigm Wines to find a wonderfully welcome atmosphere.

Ruth and George and their sweet golden retriever Jemima made us feel very welcome and introduced us to their somewhat unique tasting experience. Rather than just a tasting pour and spiel about the process, Paradigm Hill links the wines to a tasting plate of food made by Ruth that is designed to bring out the best features of the wine, and to allow the taster to identify the different characteristics that drinking wine on it’s own and as an accompaniment to food bring to light.

The food itself is predominantly sourced from the winery, and I have to draw special attention to the vegetable soup (designed to match with the 2015 Riesling), sourced from the couple’s veggie patch and simply bursting with flavour, which did indeed enhance the green apple freshness of the wine.

The tasting does cost $15 per head, but as with all paid tastings it’s waived if wine is purchased and trust me, you won’t walk away from the Hill without a few bottles (or a case and a half :)) tucked under your arm.
