Bunch of peanuts. Asks which pup I prefer, cool. Then says we will match you with a dog, ok?. Then says it doesn’t matter which puppy you get they are all the same!🤦‍♂️ When I have watched the pups for 10 minutes and can point out the differences in temperament and personality. Good luck pups, ya gonna need it.

I went there after finding my cat in the lost and found and one of the ladies was so rude about saying its not mine yet it’s the same cat had same markings they barely looked at my photographic proof that the animal was mine. She responded when I called her name just like she use to but because of the lady saying no I couldn’t get my pet back they play dictator for animals they couldn’t care less about stuffing them in tiny little cages horrible experience and will be taking things further to get my animal back

We adopted a beautiful adult cat 15 years ago from GAWS who sadly died of old age 15 months ago. Recently we felt ready to invite a new cat into our lives so we applied online and had an answer the next day. I didn’t want to choose from an online profile so we visited GAWS with an appointment and met several cats in person. Noone rushed us. GAWS was very open and frank about their feline adoption candidates and we chose Lucky, a 3 year old black short haired female. She’s a completely new personality to absorb into the household and is doing just fine. We are so pleased with the process. Highly recommend.

We’ve adopted our Staffy from Gaws despite from Melbourne. We didn’t have any expectations due to previous frustrations with The Lost Dogs Home. Surprisingly our experience with Gaws turned out to be different. Everything from application to interaction with both the adoption team and the dog was warm. I’d like to thank Anna, René, Brooke and Sally at reception plus encourage every animal lover to give Gaws a go.
Update: Sadly,we had to return our adoptee after 2 months , as she turned out not to be the right dog for us. Gaws was supportive at every stage. My only recommendation would be to give a more realistic description of the dogs. I won’t reduce my rating though, as I appreciate the enormity of their job. Although
we couldn’t get a dog, we learned a lot and became Pen-Pals.
