I purchased a Dual flap pet door from Aussie Pet doors in Narre Warren with a wall tunnel piece 2.5 years ago and had it professional installed, within a year both flaps were deteriorated and snapped, they gave me a set of replacement flaps under warranty with we had to change ourselves and now just over another year later one has snapped and the other is on the way, it actually trapped out dog inside as it jammed last time I have approached them to get more flaps but they don’t have any left, so the generous offer is $50 off the updated version but it does not fit the wall tunnel so that would mean I have to get someone to come and remove my old and install the new one. What a joke, $50 discount at replace what cost me $600 installed and to do it all again after 2.5 years at the very least they should keep stock of the old flaps do not offer me another $600 solution

I bought the large aluminium frame swing door. Was fine initially, but two of the hinge springs broke after about two years (of relatively gentle use by an old, arthritic medium sized dog). This prevented one of the doors from closing on its own, allowing cold air to stream into my house in the middle of winter. I contacted APD to about replacement springs or hinges and was told my only option was to buy new doors (at a cost of about $90 – nearly half of the original purchase price of the whole unit!!!), but that they’re not currently in stock.
Helpful Review 1It’s extremely disappointing for a product marketed as premium and sustainable to fail so quickly, and to require expensive replacement of both doors rather than just replacing the small component that failed.
I won’t buy from this company again.

Aussie Pet Doors were amazing. They installed my pet door into my Timber door for my 2 greyhounds and they love it. The installation looks seamless and the team that came to install were lovely, polite and left their work area spotless when finished. The team were also really responsive during booking. Would definetley hire again if I move!

when i opened the website there was a great introducory offer to get 5% off…but when i placed my order the 5% was not deducted…first world problem!!! but then when i got my confirmation eamil there was seperate email with the discount code. So make sure you check your email before you place your order if you want to enjoy the discount. The site was easy to use and ordering a paying simple.

I have had one of these doors for 8 years, and it is still working. However I decided to replace the dog door,I called Aussie Pet Doors and required the same size door(as a hole is cut in my glass panel)and Adam from the company was ever so helpful.A pleasure to deal with the company with a quality product, Highly recommended.

Very happy with my new dog door. We got one for our glass sliding door. Our old one was too high and heavy for our pup. This one is much lighter and has much better wind resistance. They were also able to help position the door lower. Only took a week after measurements to get the door and about 30 min or less to install. My dog seems happier with the door and doesn’t have to jump to get outside. It’s been about 2 months since install and it is working great, no issues. The team were also very lovely. Overall a great purchase and I would recommend Aussie Pet Doors.
