A biased review as we are the owners and managers. Liptrap loft has been available to rent since 2006. Its unique and quirky and certainly not suited to everyone, but those who like it love it. We think it is best suited to couples but it can sleep 6. Its pet friendly and while we welcome pets, we also work hard to make sure the place feels clean and remove all traces of pets for non pet owners.

We absolutely adored our 3 night stay at Liptrap Loft in late April. Sunny days, cold nights, tranquility and a chance to truly drop out. No TV, no people; nothing but the sound of birds and cows.

Leave the blinds up to watch the day start, take a long soak and feel yourself unwind. Meticulously presented and with everything you could possibly need to have a great stay- games, books, deckchairs, cricket set and on and on! A very special place and pets welcome.

We adored Liptrap Loft and didn’t want to ever leave!! Thank you ❤️

Thanks for visiting Janine and posting your lovely photos. It was a pleasure hosting you. We too like to leave the blinds up and really take in the start to the day. Early mornings at Liptrap Loft are my favourite.

What an amazing setting! A manicured green lawn and then lush bush and farmland as far as the eye can see. The feeling of privacy is second to none. The loft itself is rustic and cozy with a wonderful quirky design. The bathhouse is a highlight and bathing in the deep tub with a glass of wine and the doors wide open watching nature work it’s magic is a must! Perfect for dogs as well although there is a lot of native wildlife, including koalas in the trees, so make sure they are supervised. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone who wants city luxury and there isn’t much in the way of towns/shops close by. But if you want to escape, relax and unwind this is definitely the place for you!

Spent the weekend here with my partner and we couldn’t have been more delighted with the loft!

The Japanese bath house was great to relax in with a glass of wine while watching the wildlife on the property.
Evenings were spent stoking the fire while enjoying some time away from technology.

Liptrap Loft has a lot to offer and accommodate for, we’ll definitely be revisiting!

One of the most peaceful and beautiful getaways. Would live here if i could. The stillness of being in the country was so intoxicating. The loft/house is so beautifully designed. So unique.

The outdoor bath house was my favourite. Opening the doors at night and looking out at the stars in the bath in the middle of winter. A truly lovely experience. Thank you Fleur.

Thanks Julia it was such a pleasure hosting you for a couple of weeks over winter. We definitely find the longer guests stay, the more smitten they become by the stillness and quirks of the build.. We’d be happy to host you again anytime.

I’d wanted to stay at Liptrap Loft for years before I finally got to this past January. It’s hidden away near the most wonderful coastline in Victoria, but I really didn’t want or need to leave. The kitchen is well-equiped, the bedding is warm and comfortable and the bath house is spectacular. The original owner-builder created something very special – part urban warehouse, part cabin in the woods – but it’s clear that it’s Fleur’s eye for beauty and detail that has elevated it into something truly unique.

Fantastic place to escape the city life and enjoy a slower pace. Also great for kids as it gives them a bit of freedom to run and play.

Thanks for visiting Michael. City kids seem to love the freedom of five acres and old school imaginative play. We have some lawn games like crochet and bowls. But making cubbies and exploring the grounds and little walking tracks seems to be the hit.

What a wonderful place for those looking for proper retreat away from the hustle and bustle of life. A perfect setting for the family, kids can roam free & the added bonus of dog friendly. The whole family can fit in the bath house. A great base to explore Prom country.

Thanks Joanne, we love taking our dog with us on holiday and he is an integral part of our family. He especially loves Liptrap Loft and the 5 acres to explore. We just ask strictly that pets do not sit on furniture or beds. As its important for non pet owners that the place presents well and is looked after.. Thanks for being such wonderful pet owners to host. You are all welcome back to any of our Dufflebird properties anytime.

The minute you step into a Dufflebird property you can only sigh with happiness. Liptrap Loft is the second one we’ve stayed in and is like no other holiday experience. Fleur, you treat us all as very special guests! Liptrap is such a unique and beautiful property. It is immaculate but quirky and full with everything you could ask for to make your stay comfortable and so enjoyable. We loved the garden, the walkways and the Japanese bath house. We were truly spolit rotten.

Liptrap Loft was a little tranquil haven away from the ‘hussle and bussle’ of everyday Melbourne. It provided us with nurturing landscapes to rest, restore, relax and re-unite. We loved the Japanese bath house, sipping on champagne and watching the sun go down and listening to the birds chirping away. It had all the cooking necessities needed to cook up taste sensations and the rustic charm to embrace the architecture of the home and the feeling it created. We loved the Super King size bed – it was nice to stretch 🙂 Fleur the owner was very nice and let us know all we needed for our stay. We will definitely come back and HIGHLY recommended this place for others to stay.
