Great place and very close to 12 apostles.
Please note: There is no longer cows and other animals as before since the place is up for sale. We were let down because of that😅

Booked directly with Trudi and stayed in Lodge 1. Trudi was so friendly and hospitable. A lovely stay with a wood fireplace, cooking facilities, opportunities to meet the animals, and proximity to the coast and also Port Campbell and Timboon for food. It will be sad when they sell so get there while you can.

We loved staying here! The Lodge was clean and spacious, the country views were beautiful, and Trudy and Macka were great to talk to. It is a true working dairy farm.

We absolutely loved our stay at Macka’s Farm! The host was a lovely and very kind lady. The lodge was clean and tidy, equipped with all amenities.. But make sure you carry all your groceries and things with you coz the shops are a bit far. 12 of us went and we all enjoyed our stay. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. Definitely recommend this to someone heading down Great Ocean Road!

Macka’s Farm is in a super location, very near the 12 Apostles and a quick drive to the nearby town of Timboon. ||The rooms are clean, kitchen well stocked with good range of pots/pans/cutlery.||The animals in the farm were many cows, 2 cats & their kittens, a few alpacas, a few chooks, a few goats. ||Although we only got to milk the cows, feed the alpacas and collect hens’ eggs, the very friendly Trudy made our stay very welcoming.

I think the website is very dated, only a few alpacas, cats, dogs and cows. Very little hands on things for the kids to do, even though they asked several times to help out. Although the farm and accommodation is lovely for over $300 per night none of the kids really got a farm stay experience.

We stayed in Lodge 2 during our trip. As it was our first time doing a farmstay, we enjoyed ourselves very much. The place was already warmed up when we arrived which was very very thoughtful of the host! There is a fireplace (which we had fun with) and an electric heater to keep the place warm. As we stayed in the city, we found this place very relaxing with great greenery views, surrounded with animals like cows, dogs, cats, chicken, etc. Trudi gave us a tour of the farm and also a chance to feed some of the animals. In the evening/morning, we could see cow queuing orderly to be milked. ||||If you happened to be awake at night, do take sometime to absorb the beautiful view of star-filled sky in the dark (on cloudless night). It was a special and wonderful experience during our stay.

I was a little apprehensive about booking a farm stay initially as I have never stayed in the countryside before. However this farms tay experience turned out to be really quite pleasant. The farm was very well maintained and the animals and pets (lovely dogs and cats) were all very friendly. The dogs kept by Macka and Trudy were very well-trained to stay outside of visitors’ houses, though you may find them sitting at the door waiting for a good pat or a good game of ball catching with you, haha. Since it’s a farm, one cannot avoid some smell of husbandry floating into the windows, but it is really very minimal if any, except when it rained. In addition there were many flies and insects especially since we went near summer. However, they can be mostly kept out by the window screens if one is careful enough as advised by Trudy.||||I stayed in one of the larger lodges, lodge 3. The rooms were very spacious and well maintained with high level of cleanliness. Really nothing much to complain seeing that the lodging and farm are run by mainly just the old couple. Do look out for a couple of spider webs here and there though that is really not much of a problem. The fresh air and nice get-away from the bustle of the city really makes up for all of it, not to mention the very beautiful Great Ocean Road and the proximity of the farm to the Twelve Apostles and all its sights which are absolutely stunning.

Their layout was perfect from the private covered porch into an open plan cottage. The cozy living room that was lounged with fireplace is so inviting and it was here that we spent late nights sitting up, laughing, chatting, munching and enjoying the environments. The rooms were spacious, rustically design accented with warm furnishings. The overall lodge cleanliness was splendid based on my extreme OCD standard. Those privacies that we had made our family bondings truly solidified and memories are made. The cell phone reception on the farm was weak and this really keep our kids off their phones, forcing them to look for some adventures inside the farm – literally they rolled up their sleeves every frosty morning, got down and dirty in the farm watching farm owner doing their daily farm chores like milking the goats, feeding the cows and collecting the chicken eggs. It is a perfect escape where you can revitalize the body and mind, an ideal choice if you are yearning for something different – it just offers it all! Your kids will definitely love it!

Before we left for our farmstay, my children asked if we can substitute it with hotel stay instead. Ended up, Macka’s farmstay became the highlight of their trip! They absolutely LOVE it!||Six of us stayed in the huge farmhouse and it is wonderful. Well equipped kitchen and laundry area. The house is so big that we had a great time playing hide and seek on our first night.||The surrounding was so dark at night and sky was so clear that we witnessed a few shooting stars!||Farm activities were simple and easy going.. Macka’s farm is a functioning dairy farm. Trudi aka Mrs. Macka showed us around the farm and animals in the morning. In the afternoon, we witnessed and participated in cow milking. We are free to roam around at other time. Farm animals include lots of cows, chickens, goat, pigs, alpacas. ||Trudi’s dog Andy is super friendly and adorable! Always waiting for someone to play catch with him.||It is a bonus that Trudi has many pairs of gumboots of all sizes to lend us during our stay. The kids had a good time splashing in the puddles!||Trudi even supplied us with fresh farm eggs and fresh milk!||The location of the farm is wonderful. 10mins drive away from the 12Apostles and 15mins away from Port Campbell. So you wont go hungry nor will you be short of any supplies. ||There are lots of activities around the area too. Timboon ice-creamery and whiskey distillery is worth a visit 🙂

A rustic, charming and very clean accommodation with friendly owners. Even the dogs and cats there are friendly. The proximity to the 12 Apostles made our visits so much easier. Thumbs Up all the way.
