Great property and location to stay at when visiting Wilsons Promontory. The place was clean, comfortable, secluded and peaceful.
The local store is a few minutes away which is very convenient.
All in all we enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay in Villa 1 on this large property. The place is very clean, fresh, modern and comfortable with great views. The kitchen, bed and shower are fantastic! Our host Ken was very friendly and helpful. A perfect location in Yanakie to visit Wilsons Prom and surrounds.

We checked in Friday for what should have been a 2 night stay, unfortunately for us we didn’t have a good experience, as soon as we opened the door there was a bad odour, that didn’t go the whole time we were there, we checked out Villa 2 to find it had no window covering in the bathroom, if it had been 1 way glass we could understand but it wasn’t which made my partner very uncomfortable, we didn’t think it was very clean either especially during this time with Covid 19 happening. We left after 1 night, definitely not worth $250 night. Lorraine In response to your reply, I did mention to Ken about the smell and how uncomfortable my partner was, he wasn’t in hospital as he was there that evening. Our opinion is that there should be a screen in front of the bathroom to give people the choice to shower and use the toilet without potentially been seen, and yes we were offered 1 night free which we appreciated but would not have taken up as my complaint wasn’t about getting something for free.

Beautiful views and great location, 2 minute drive to the park entrance, 20 minute drive to Ned Neale lookout at Sandy Point, where my dog had an amazing time running on the beach. The 2 bedroom villa was modern, clean, comfortable and had all the basics needed.

Relaxing midweek getaway with friends from Monday to Thursday. 2 bedroom villa very comfortable, host Ken, very obliging to help with our stay.
Great view across the Prom, tranquil surroundings.. just the place to recharge from a days walk at the Prom and outings in the district..

    Villa 1

We had a mixed experience and are usually pretty easy to please… We do a bit of weekend away travel and have just returned to Melbourne from living in NZ and it’s a very different type of hospitality provided here (not the warm and caring Kiwi way and definitely no thoughtful special touches).

    Positives:
    – Ken was extremely prompt with service
    – Villa is quiet, tranquil and relaxing
    – Has an excellent heater and moveable coil heater, which kept us comfy and warm
    – Was very clean apart from a couple of cobwebs
    – Beautiful views and outlook
    – Handy kitchen with most things we needed
    – Comfy bed
    – We were able to arrange a later check out which we were grateful for but at $50 per hour
    – It was available, this was really the only reason we booked it as we needed something so my husband could go in a race and it was the only thing we could find close
    – Plenty of outdoors space for kids to play and run
    – It’s safe, dry and warm
    – A dairy farm across the road so a lovely view of cows and calves driving past (animal lover and excited toddler)
    – About a ten-minute drive to the park entrance.

    Negatives:
    – The oven is fiddly and took us about 15 mins to work out but got there!
    – Dishwasher was out of order, no biggy just slightly annoying in a small kitchen space when trying to cook and use the bench space
    – NO WIFI, this was major for us as both my husband and I needed to do a little bit of work. There was just a quick email the day before we arrived and a sorry – no real understanding or interest in the impact – reading other comments I wonder if this happens frequently
    – Telephone reception was minimum to none; so trying to do anything on your phone Internet was impossible given no Wi-Fi (on the upside if you want to unplug this would be a positive)
    – The TV did not work; we could not get any clear picture
    – There were a selection of old DVD’s; nothing for children and with no TV and no Wi-Fi if we needed a bit of down time for the little one there was nothing available
    – The DVD’s we tried all played in black and white
    – No highchair available.

I love the idea of going a little into the wild and being able to unplug and relax but in reality many people still have to combine their weekends away with some work so need to be connected.

I would recommend this as a nice basic place for singles/couples to stay in peace and quite. It is not set up for little ones but does provide enough space for them if you bring a highchair, cot, some DVD’s and maybe some toys if the weather is not pleasant outside.
