Our stay at the Possums Hideaway was reasonable. It was quiet, away from traffic and we even saw a small wallaby near our kitchen window on the second morning. Having said that, we found some issues that marred our total enjoyment of the accommodation.
1.The room comes with a slow combustion fire – great if you can get it going but we struggled to adequately warm the room during our first night. Bit better on the second night. Needs more soft wood/kindling to get the fire hot. Better still, connect an air-conditioning unit to the bungalows.
2. The bathroom comes with a spa bath/shower. We found the step into and then out of the spa to be too high. This could easily result in an accidental slip causing injury.
3. The footpath to the bungalows are in need of resurfacing. Returning to the bungalows after hours could result in a trip injury.
4. The crockery is very old and well past its use-by date. The underside on the plates has discoloured (black) in some places.

We had a very large group of adults and children stay for a long weekend over winter. Very happy that we chose Federation Gardens. The kids were kept entertained by the large oval, games room, playground and (supervised) marshmallows by the fire. Cabins are well heated. Only negative to mention is the heating of the Possum Hideaways, as they rely on a small electric heater plus a log fire stove, which is pretty high maintenance. Overall though a wonderful stay, we will be back

Great family accomodations. Warm, well equipped and with a full range of options for kids (too bad we couldn’t enjoy it all due to the weather). Nonetheless, great firepit area and also a great location. Staff was very kind and all instructions provided in advance matched the expectations. Will sure come back.

Our yearly Family get together (23 all up )was just perfect
Jess went above and beyond to ensure our stay was what we expected
5 cabins all toasty warm and plenty of things for all the kids to do on acres of beautifully landscaped gardens made our stay a memory to remember

Very spacious both indoors and outdoors with great heating during winter. My boys enjoyed the assortment of balls in the games room. There’s even a tennis court, an indoor heated pool and a communal bbq pavilion that is quite well equipped. We spent a good time chatting with another group of guests at the communal fire pit during winter. If I got to nitpick, the bathroom is rather small. Bedrooms are fine with views of flora surroundings.

It was a very nice experience besides the rainy weather and the people at the reception were extremely nice and helpful! They have a variety of activities there which is quite good for the kids and also adults. Lots of greenery and the place overall is very photo worthy! Will definitely come again!!!

This place was a great getaway. Cabbins were very neat and cosy. Jess the manager was very accommodating. Many amenities and facilities to enjoy with family and friends. I highly recommend.
