My beloved Bella passed away and Greencross Springvale was absolutely wonderful in helping me deal with the distress I was in, I wish I could remember the receptionist who was there. I was there on the 07/10/2021, she was amazing and I want to buy her a gift. So please let me know in the comments what her name is so I can send my thanks to her.

Unsure what standard protocol is, even then no effort was made to clarify it to me.
I handed over a lost dog that we ran into while on a walk, I explained to them that we’d like to stay updated on her condition and if she finds her owner. Me, thinking that they would make an effort to contact her owner but it seems they did nothing more than handball her to the council ranger. I called back today, incredibly upset to find the pup on an adoption website, in a shelter 1 hour away. In less than 24 hours of me handing her over.
I’d like to think that if my dog had gotten lost and was handed into them, they’d make an effort to find me before chucking her into a cage and sending her off even further. If I had known this was what they would’ve done, I could’ve made a better effort trying to find her rightful owner without worrying about her microchip. Somewhat appalling to think that these people are supposed to “care” for our furry friends. Maybe this is standard procedure, certainly not what I was told at all.

I have. been with Greencross Springvale for many years. However, the recent experience was absolutely DISAPPOINTING. I had one of my Chiuhuahua microchipped last year. With the yearly vaccination due, Greencross advised due to COVID they only have 1 VET available with long waiting list. I was opt for another nearby VET. It was then discovered that the chip implanted last year cannot be found on my Chiuhuahua. I called Greencross again, I was shock and extremely disappointed when told I they are flooded with appointments and it will be a few weeks until they are able to see me to check and rescan the micro chip. If the chip cannot be found, I then have the option to re-implant another microchip but it will be at owners expense! WHAT?! The MICRO CHIP implanted last year by them were FAULTY and only found out because of vaccine VET visit elsewhere. Now I am asked to pay for another micro-chip implant? I feel there is ownership on responsibility of the quality here.

Rude and unpleasant to deal with. They made my placid dog wear a muzzle because he is “labeled a dangerous dog” he is a staffy. Booked in for a simple nail clipping being a a vet it would be simple right?? Wrong! They could only do half my dogs nails and I was charged full price and asked to come back in 2 weeks,where i would pay full price again. When I questioned them about the price they said he was a “stresshead and it was too dangerous to continue” (even with a muzzled) then was told to pay the money and never come back to this clinic. Im disgusted with this service and NO I wont be returning. If you have a staffy I would think twice about coming here.

Great caring service. I have found this at all Greencross vets I have visited. We are part of the Healthy Pets Plus program which is fantastic. And the staff always make us feel welcome when we drop in for weight checks or help with administering medication; nothing is ever too much.
