A hidden gem! Absolutely stunning view, gorgeous gardens & the food was to die for. Love the “garden to table” concept too. Can’t wait to come back again soon.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Basil’s farm for lunch and will definitely visit again.
The menu is varied and easily caters for different tastes and dietary requirements. We enjoyed the lamb and pork. The prosecco was a very nice way to start our afternoon. The service is friendly and attentive. This was an all round great experience with delicious, well presented food served by helpful wait staff at a very scenic part of the Bellarine.

Beautiful surrounds. Food not bad. The glasses on the table are dirty and old, when paying for sparkling water would be nice to have a good glass.

My partner and I got the Pasta of the day (a prawn pasta) and the calamari. Both were amazing, and well worth the price. An emphatic 5 stars. I am legitimately sad that I won’t be able to eat here regularly (we were on holiday).

For desert we got the crème caramel (I can’t remember exactly what it was called) and it was pretty bad to be honest. It was dry and tart and had an unpleasant texture. We normally love this dish, but this one was not right.

Almost makes the review a 4 star, but the scenery, service and bloody amazing main meals are more than enough to keep it at a 5 star.

P.S. Please make the prawn pasta a main menu item, SO GOOD!!!!

Spectacular views, kid friendly and exquisite menu of starters, mains and desserts. The location is beautiful and thoughtful selection of their own produce in an updated modernization of a cottage and garden with blankets to sit and enjoy the view. Loved the wine (in house brand) and cocktails looked gorgeous. Highly recommend.

Google reviews for restaurants as you all know need careful consideration. Basil’s farm is a 4 point late kind of place to dine. We have been several times, and the food and service have been at least close to 5 star. Their attention to detail at Basil’s sets them apart from the crowd.

I have lunched here many times and love the food and surroundings. However, for the first time dining anywhere in the world I had this experience, after ordering a bottle of wine, it was dumped on the table in a cooler along with 2 glasses, our waiter says ” here’s your wine girls” and hurries away. Didn’t even ask if he could pour. What has happened to service? Also don’t ask if we’d would like 2 plates if we’ve alreay told the waiter we’re sharing, just supply them.

Went to BasilsFarm for lunch with a friend on Sunday. We were welcomed at the gate escorted to our table in the pavilion and proceeded with the most beautiful presented and delicious food. Service was excellent and so to the ambience of Basil’s Farm.
Our man at the gate on the way out asked how our experience was. We replied, we will be back. Thankyou

A beautiful view and a great atmosphere. Lovely to go for a wander around the grounds. Perfect for a glass of wine and a platter outside on a nice day. Staff were amazing however the food was average and overpriced. I ordered the Western Plains Lamb rump, roasted mushrooms, grilled tomato, cauliflower puree and garden leaves. For $41 I felt it was overpriced with two small pieces of lamb and three tiny button mushrooms on a plate with too much spinach (garden leaves). We had to order a serve of potatoes on the side and I believe for the price they should have been included. We had two vegetarians on our table whereas there was one choice to choose from for them . Definitely not worth the money we paid. Oh also make sure you take cash if you’re in a group as they don’t split bills due to it being too hard and time consuming for them which makes it hard when your bill is over $500 and one person has to pay for the whole bill. Lots of great choices to eat on the Bellarine Peninsula – sorry we won’t be back

Rarely do l write reviews, but in this case l’ve made an exception.
(Looking for a venue for a long lunch for a special birthday with family and friends. Music a bonus)
Wonderful location & vista. Fabulous and diverse variety of food & wines.
Yes, it was busy and you may have had to wait those extra few minutes, but the staff were friendly and attentive. Nothing was a problem.

    Highly recommended.
