Our Jack Russell, Maya, was struggling following some spinal damage. She had weekly visits with Dr Steve for physio and acupuncture. After five visits we were thrilled to see a marked improvement in her demeanour, her energy levels and she was obviously in much less pain.

Steve has been treating my Affenpinchners dogs for the last couple of months.

Monkey was recently diagnosed with a collapsing Trachea and Steve was willing to try using Cold Lazer on him.
On our first visit he also found he had a very sore neck and this was contributing to his breathing issues and him not wanting to go for his morning walk.
I had taken my boy to 3 other vets in the weeks before seeing Steve and not one other vet picked up on his neck issues.
4 weeks on my boy is doing so well back to his old personality walking and playing with his brother .
Its like I have my old dog back.
His little brother has had 3 bouts of Spinal issues two spinal surgeries and was a hunched up very unsteady little dog.
Reni is now much stronger his gait is improving his stronger in the back end and walking much better.
We have used electro acupuncture on him and Steve showed me some new strengthening exercises which have helped him so much.
I highly recommend Steve if you are looking for rehab or additional therapies to help with injury or post surgery recovery.

Jess is a different dog after her treatment by Dr Steve. She is 13 and I thought it would be kinder to have her put down due to her mobility problems from arthritis. After a couple of sessions with Dr Steve having massage, acupuncture and electromagnetic therapy she is getting up and down far better. Have also changed her diet to fresh cooked meat and vegetables. This also has helped her as well as loose some excess weight. I mix a couple of supplements with this diet as well. Would definitely recommend Dr Steve for your pet and it is a much more hands on approach than your regular vet.

Prayed for a miracle for our 5 year Jack Russell, who could hardly walk, and got exactly that! Steve quickly diagnosed that the “Musclely Little Nugget” didn’t have slipped disks but instead had severe neck stiffness and had probably pulled a muscle in her neck. After one treatment she was able to walk again and over 3 weeks has returned to almost full health! We cannot speak highly enough of Steve’s “balanced” approach and the brilliant results he achieved. Money very, very well spent! Our daughter is studying to become a vet, and what a good lesson for her that not everything is solved with drugs! Thanks so much Steve.

Yesterday’s session (13/09/2022) with Dr Steve-Balance Veterinary Care- seemed to do wonders for Nibs, my 14 year old kelpie. Maybe the needle (acupuncture) in his right paw combined with the sound wave treatment on his right hip?
Nibs was so much brighter in his demeanour afterwards and walks more freely, wandering over to the lounge last night and putting his front paws up on it so he could lie there for a while in one of his favourite spots. A bonus was a normal poop last night after not having done one for a day.
Not jumping out of his skin but close enough. 😁 His back is much straighter and not roached when he walks.

Dr. Steve, from Balance Veterinary Care, was recommended to me by my Vet of over 20 years, for my 3 year old Border Collie, Caesar.
Caesar had a failed left hip replacement at 9 months, with 3 subsequent operations that were also unsuccessful. He also has a pinched nerve in his right rear leg.
Basically he was a young dog in an old dog’s body; very sad and in pain (treated with high dose painkillers) most of his life.
The amazing results Steve has achieved for Caesar, in just 4 weeks, is mind blowing. We still have some work to do, but with Steve’s guidance, treatments, knowledge, compassion and care, I know that very soon Caesar will be able to live a happy, healthy and virtually pain free life, as he – and everyone of our furbabies – deserves.

I can’t thank Steve enough for all of his help over the years. He has rehabilitated two of our dogs now at a low cost and in a more healthy manner. Long term recovery instead of big $$ surgeries. He is absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t imagine having my pooches be seen by anyone else.

Steve’s dog acupuncture and dog chiropractic services are amazing, and saved our 9 yo blue heeler late last winter when she went into acute pain and lost the use her back left leg. When the pain hit we went to an emergency surgery clinic and after x-rays, were informed she had a bulging disc. Their solution included very expensive surgery. We opted for medication to keep her pain under control while we looked into our (not to rosy) options. After some social networking my wife got a referral from someone who had been to Steve. Our first appointment with him included remedial massage and acupuncture. Immediately after that first visit her pain receded and she quickly regained use of her leg and is now completely recovered. We have no hesitation recommending Steve and Balance Care Vet.

Steve has been our vet for a number of years and has looked after our now aging dogs with much care and attention. I can certainly recommend Balance Veterinary care as a vet that is reasonably priced and comes to your home to deliver quality care in a timely manner. Our dogs are much happier to be cared for at home where they are most comfortable.

I have been seeing Steve for my little Pomeranian Bonnie for many years now.
He has been a important part of my girl?s post op and ongoing recovery for her hips and also her knees.
My little girl has many joint issues and I found Steve when I was researching natural medicine vets.
I have recommended Steve to many friends as I think he is one of the best vets on the Gold Coast.
