To be honest I have not found a better vet in Melbourne. When my dog, Charlie was injured she was immediately taken care of so well. And so was I as an extension (thanks to nurse Georgie for driving us home when I had no way of getting there!). I know it can be hectic working in these environments, but I can tell everyone here is passionate about pets, and taking the best care of everyone who comes though their door. I’ve found both vets and nurses have taken the time necessary to make sure all of Charlie’s problems are addressed and she is as well as she can be. Also thanks to Dr Sienna Capp for going the extra mile for a behavioural reference! Will definitely be coming back, regardless of where I’m living in Melbourne.

Above and beyond – I had to take my cat to an emergency after hours vet and they provided the notes to Thornbury Vet Hospital, his regular vet. TVH range me proactively the next day and checked in with me for the rest of the week, they gave me great advice and made me feel supported. Amazing customer service and care. So glad Jasper has great vets.

Took our greyhound in for an upset stomach – as a first time visitor, Dr. Ash was extremely knowledgeable and astute, and the nurses were extremely helpful and made us feel at ease. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Fantastic clinic. Took good care of our dog Dudley and explained everything thoroughly. When unsure they collaborated with the team and delivered results that we saw almost straight away.

Avoid this vet at any cost. The blonde English woman rushed me through the appointment, I was in there for less than 5 minutes. She knew nothing about raw feeding cats and was pressuring me into a dried food diet. my partner also went with her dog who was gravely ill and she said he was completely fine, didn’t think to do a blood test or anything. A few hours later he was at the emergency vet and could have died. I’m worried she is extremely incompetent, please don’t go there

I couldn’t possibly speak highly enough of the team at Thornbury vet.
Everyone single team member we have met so far has been friendly, kind, and seem so passionate about their jobs!
Our Corgi puppy Monty loves his visits, and the vets we have seen so far have been so loving & gentle. Monty especially loved puppy pre school with Caitlin! The puppy pre school sessions were invaluable for us as first time dog owners, and Caitlin is so patient and a wealth of knowledge.

I’ve been seeing Thornbury Vet for years. Initially with my two cats many years ago when they first started, and more recently with my 1.5 year old Blue Heeler puppy.
My puppy is quite nervous & reactive, and the vets & staff are always increadibly understanding, doing everything they can to ensure she is comfortable and has a positive experience. Unlike many other vets I had been to they don’t just try to charge you the most they can. They always explain treatment options and and costs before any decisions are made and allow me as her ‘Mum’ to be as informed and empowered in her care as possible.
My pup was initially increadibly fearful after bad vet experiences when she was quite small. After our last few visits she is showing more confidence and comfortability in being there.

Helpful ReviewAfter a series of really disappointing experiences at another local vet, we took our Lab here. Everyone we have dealt with, from the front desk, to nurses to vets have been lovely. And most importantly, highly competent.
It hasn’t felt like they were just interested in extracting money from us, it actually feels like they care. Highly recommend.

We have starting taking our puppy to Thornbury Vet and they are amazing! Genuinely caring, thorough and informative! Not only were they great with my pup, the wonderful ladies at the front desk took both of my uncooperative toddlers and coloured with them and gave them stickers! The hardest bit of our visit was getting my kids and puppy to leave! Thank you!!

We had a great first experience going to the Vet for the first time with our greyhound. Guru got a welcome pack with a pig’s ear and a new lead! Dr Seina was very attentive and thorough and educated us on how to take care of our new adopted greyhound. The nurse showed us how to apply his eye medicine. We look forward to future visits with the clinic!
