    The store staff is friendly and the store is always clean. The shelves are thin on inventory, and the product sales they advertise are light on the product, making it difficult to use the sale.

    This store is fantastic! We got so much great information about aquarium care from an employee named Kyle. Rarely have I ever gotten such great customer service. The prices and selection were SO much better than the pet store we went to before.

    Finding a grooming solution for us was challenging until we found Persmart. We have 2 Australian shepherds and one of them became dog reactive a few years ago after he was attacked by small dogs while he was on leash going for a walk. We have had success at this petsmart for over a year now! We do an early morning appointment and do an express wash so our dogs are in and out quickly. Our dogs go in happy excited and come out happy, relaxed, and clean. It’s true that our dogs come back with a bit of fluff still on them, (Aussies really need 2-3 hours of grooming) but I am more than happy to finish the brushing at home in exchange for a grooming experience where my dogs are safe and happy and loved.

    PetSmart house brand cat food is my cats’ food of choice. All three of them! They’re always so friendly and I usually find nice things on sale when I need them. Catnip prices are good for the large sizes as well.

    I boarded my dog at the Pets Hotel for one night and he seemed to have a terrible experience. Although the people were nice, he had an upset stomach for 5 days after and developed a weird sneezing/respiratory issue. When I picked him up they assured me he had a good time, which I now know is false based on how he reacted. They should’ve have been upfront with how he was while he stayed. Be aware of boarding your pet here if it has separation anxiety.

    Trainer Joe was such a pleasure, very knowledgeable, patient and all around good teacher. My daughter and I learned so much and had fun working together with our new puppy. We look forward to advancing our classes. Here is a photo of Dakota during puppy graduation!

    My dog came home from his grooming appointment and within 2 hours was unable to walk. Something had clearly happened at his appointment but no one told us. He was in intense pain in his back and was miserable. After taking him to urgent care, they confirmed a spinal injury from falling or jumping too far. It took him 2 weeks of meds and rehab to recover. When I called the store to discuss the incident with them, the manager assured me he would review salon footage and follow up with me – he never did. Hence this review. Don’t go to the groomer here.

    I love their stores, but their website can be a bummer. You can’t proceed to checkout if an item is out of stock. It doesn’t remove it from your cart or tell you it’s out of stock. You have to remove one item at a time and see if you can checkout. If you still can’t check out, add the item back in and remove a different one. It’s painful.

    Also, they are having a supply chain problem right now. Probably due to Covid. I have six litter boxes and had to drive to six locations this weekend for litter.

    Update 6/24: The phone menu is annoying. The very last option is to talk to a person to ask a question. The person who answered the phone today was not helpful and was short with me. I placed two orders for prescription food, one yesterday and one today. They won’t hold the first order while the second one is being approved by the vet. This means I have to make two trips and they aren’t close to home. This may be PetSmart policy, but either way, it is very inconvenient. The food is out of stock at all the PetsMart locations which are closer to home.

    Although I took the only Rabies vaccine information I have, the groomer doubted its veracity because it was hand written on the vet’s stationery and had to call our current vet to verify. All this time, my shy, easily stressed dog was crying and shaking.

    I brought my girl home but rescheduled with a different groomer. Hopefully, it will be a better experience.

    I’ve been using petsmart grooming in Tualatin for 5 years. This was the last time. I arrived early to get my two dogs. I observed from a distance my goldendoodle being groomed. The groomer was aggressively pulling her legs out to shave her… like actually in an angry way. My dog actually fell on her bottom while she was yanking her back leg up. She yanked her head up aggressively to shave under her chin. It was really upsetting to witnesss and even more upsetting to realize this is why she shakes when I take her there. I have witnessed other groomers being what I would say “mean” to other dogs while I was picking mine up and thought, oh that dog must be giving them a problem. No. Clearly it’s the groomers.
    This kind of handling is so not ok. Maybe Petsmart should have cameras to see how their groomers treat dogs.
