Graeme, supported by Matt and Harry, was an excellent trainer who demonstrated significant patience and support for our dog. We all learned a lot and our dog has greatly improved his ability to focus, listen and remain calm in a highly stimulant environment!

We have a miniature dachshund, who has undertaken all 3 puppy courses in a 5 month period. We had our lessons at the Wacol location, with Sam and Harry as trainers. The program has been fantastic from start to finish. Lessons are always fun and engaging for dog and human alike. Our trainers always went the extra mile in making our dog feel at home, and offered valuable feedback to help improve our lives as dog parents outside of class. Sam as the lead trainer in particular was fantastic – she’s polite, caring and always goes above and beyond to make sure any concerns we have were addressed. We highly recommend putting your dog through training here, even better if you can secure Sam.

We have been going to the RSPCA School for Dogs since October 2020 and have sought out Sam as our trainer in particular, as Sam is an excellent trainer, who has helped train our 2 Dalmatians right from Baby Puppy School, Intermediate and now through the Advanced classes.
I have nothing but praise for Sam, as she is friendly, patient, helpful and professional and we have enjoyed every one of the 25 lessons we have had with her & we look forward to them every week.
I was actually going to ask if she has business cards to hand out, as I have been so impressed with her as a trainer, that I honestly believe other dogs and their owners would greatly benefit from her expertise and enjoy being in her classes.
We are currently doing an Advanced class and hope to do more classes with Sam as our trainer.
She is always happy to stay back after class and answer our questions & offer tips for our specific dogs who have their unique “quirks”. She also always asks for input on what areas we want to focus on or what goals we have for our dogs.
We often get scoffed at for having 2 Dalmatians, but can proudly say that “No they are not uncontrollable” or “crazy” rather they are well trained Dalmatians, thanks to the guidance of their wonderful trainer Eg. There is no such thing as a bad dog, only bad owners who don’t get help from great trainers like Sam.
We highly recommend RSPCA School for Dogs Wacol with Sam as the trainer.

I rang the RSPCA to let them know my nextdoor neighbour died & they didn’t want to take her cat. I have been paying for food & kitty litter for this cat who doesn’t belong to me. My neighbour’s family & friends didn’t want the cat either . ☹️

De was a fantastic trainer who had an abduance of great advice and excercises to do with your dog. My 14 month old Kelpie was a bundle of chaotic energy before I did the online foundation course with him – now he is still energetic, but listens to me more ;). Highly recommend for both new and old owners.

Highly recommend RSPCA School for Dogs. I first attended RSPCA school with my first dog 14 years ago and it helped me tremendously as a first time puppy owner.
I recently this month started School for Dogs again with my new puppy and it has been so helpful again. All the training I need to get this crazy furry raptor under some kind of discipline.
I especially want to mention Sam our School for Dogs trainer. She has been invaluable. I loved puppy classes with her as she is so full of love for the dogs and very patient and willing to answer everyone’s questions and individual issues. She has a wealth of knowledge and genuinely cares for her doggy and human students. I am starting puppy classes level 2 next week and hope to get Sam again as our trainer.

We’ve been taking our corgi puppy here since we got him for both baby puppy and intermediate puppy lessons. They encourage positive reinforcement training and discourage aversive training, which is perfect for the life we want for our dog.

My 1yo doggo and I just graduated the Foundation Class at Springwood. De was a great trainer – very informative and encouraging and had everything set up well. The class promotes positive reinforcement techniques which works well for us. The class was small (3 dogs), so it felt quite one-on-one.

Fantastic education for our pup and for us! It’s been a breeze trying to train our pup with the correspondence, take home instruction and classes. Sam is a fabulous teacher and the volunteer assistants Harry and AJ do amazing work with us too. Could not be happier!

Currently completing the foundation course for dogs with our now 18 week old puppy. So far it’s been excellent. There’s also a great pet store and an op shop.

We enrolled our puppy through both the beginner and intermediate puppy classes, and have been incredibly impressed with the level of service, quality, knowledge and the patience by all the trainers involved.

We did the beginner class online during covid lockdown and De has just been phenomenal with her demonstrations and support via zoom throughout the entire the online learning course. She was so patient and still made the class feel very enjoyable despite it being online.

We did the intermediate puppy class at Wacol and the trainers there were just absolutely incredible and supportive. Trainers Sam, Rachel and Lyndan were so helpful, patient and super friendly. Their explanation of puppy behaviour and demonstrations were so helpful and tailored to our individual experiences with our dogs.

All trainers for both puppy courses continue to provide their support by showing their availability should we require further advice post-graduation, which is just so wonderful to know that extra support is there.

Thank you so much RSPCA School for Dogs. It has been an amazing experience despite the whole weird world of covid, you guys have made training with our puppy so comfortable and enjoyable. We can’t recommend you guys enough!

staff were very friendly, the volunteers clearly care about the animals here. environment was very clean and of course the animals were very cute. definitely adopt an animal from here and donate if you can. there are a few older dogs in the RSPCA looking for forever homes and have been there for a while, think about adopting senior dogs so they can live the rest of their lives happy with a loving family.

We took our first puppy Gatsby to School for Dogs for Baby Puppy class, Intermediate Puppy class and Life Skills training. I cannot begin to recommend them enough!! We did our classes with Sam and she was absolutely fantastic. We learnt all our positive training foundations from her. The classes were small and very individualized and were focused on not only training but more importantly enrichment, dog body language and socialization. We didn’t live close by but the drive was 110% worth it. Such a beautiful, nurturing, encouraging team!! And Gatsby just adored them too!

We enrolled to the online class due to COVID-19. The trainer was a young lady with no experience. She had memorised many thing that you can find online and we knew all of them. We asked her about our issues with our puppy; she did not listen and started to talk nonsense based on her assumptions. We tried several times to let her know our exact problem but she was talking about something else. At the end she said “Some puppies like yours are RUDE!”. I think she is RUDE!
We talked to an expert trainer and she said our puppy is very clever. And then she helped us to resolve our issues quickly.
Conclusion: Our puppy is not rude the RSPCA trainer is rude.

Dee and her team at RSPCA School for Dogs are amazing! Our rescue dog has some fear issues and the training has really helped us all in getting her more confident. I highly recommend SFD to any dog owner looking to set a good foundation for their puppy or teach an older dog some new tricks!
