For the ongoing protection of our Volunteers and Members, WCDTC will not be making changes to our No Vax/No Train Policy at this time.
Outdoor training does not necessarily preclude virus transmission. Shared indoor spaces, e.g. Toilets, Shop, Cafe, Shed should also be considered.
We respect the right of every individual to choose whether to be vaccinated or not.
Those who choose not to be vaccinated are free to avail themselves of the many (but not all) dog training facilities in the metropolitan area who have no such policy.

Reviewed on GoogleLuna my siberian husky and I have been going here for 2 years and I am so happy with how much she has improved with her obedience and social skills. Luna is a reactive dog and we were looking for a place that was able to provide us with the patience, care and understanding she required and we’ve received that wholeheartedly from the staff here. Huge thanks to Leann for the time and attention she has given us and for all the instructors here doing the best they can to provide a safe environment for all the dogs and owners. Would highly recommend for people who are willing to put in the time and effort.

Reviewed on GoogleThe training is good but the communication is very poor. Multiple times I have turned up to the training and it hasn’t been on for whatever reason but we have not been told. The time I go is at 9:30 on a Sunday so to have to get ready so early and turn up to have no training but no notification is quite annoying. I understand they are volunteers but we have email addresses and it wouldn’t take no time at all to send us an email stating the changes in the training.

Reviewed on GoogleThe staff are rude to other members of the public using the park. This third bad experience where I feel intimidated, not welcome makes me never consider using them for dog training. You don’t own the park, so don’t shame me when I am trying to recall my dog. Your staff need to learm some basic communication skills with humans.

Reviewed on GoogleTrainers treated us like children telling us off for ridiculous things such as not having our hair tied up. My dog barely learnt anything and after a few months of still being in the beginners class we’re leaving. Disappointed.

Always trained my dogs here over many years and to a very high trialing standard. Got a new puppy and she starts her journey this Sunday

Reviewed on GoogleOnly just started back at training with a new puppy. I like the club a lot but do have a problem with food rewarding. Old school praise is good enough I think but I’ll stick with it 😊

Reviewed on GoogleHave been attending this school since my puppy was 12 weeks old, she is now 8 months old and in Class 2.
All the volunteers are friendly, and helpful.
This is a rewards based training group, and martingale collars are used (no choker chains!)
You have the ability to graduate at the end of each month, if your dog can meet the standards set at each level.
Homework sheets are provided by the school so you can practice at home.
I would definitely recommend this school to people with dogs of all size and ages. If you’re willing to put in the time and effort, you and your dog will benefit. However you do need to stand your ground, as trainers are volunteers there is no guarantee you will get the same person or same training style each week so you are responsible for being consistent, and saying no to changing from a style that suits you.
There is also ample parking in the area.
