However, it's not all wagging tails; some folks have found the pricing a tad on the high side and the requirement for a phone number to snag some sale prices has ruffled a few feathers. There have also been a few hiccups with scheduling, especially in the grooming department, which has left a couple of customers feeling a bit let down. Yet, for every downside, there seems to be a positive spin, like the staff's dedication to keeping the store clean and well-stocked or the caring touch seen with the store cats getting some leg-stretching time. Whether it's for a quick shopping trip, a grooming session, or even a vet visit, PetSmart Wylie has a lot going for it, even if there's a bit of room for improvement.

Love this location! Everyone is always helpful if you have any questions. They’re always happy to open additional check out stations so you do not wait very long – ever. And our dogs love the grooming salon. We do the basic bath with nail trims, etc. Have never had a problem and the dogs always seem happy!

Went there to have my dog’s claws cut. They don’t make appointments for that apparently so it’s walk in only. Except – If you walk in during their working hours in the middle of the day, they are usually closed because ‘there were no more clients’. I’ll go somewhere else in the future and recommend you do to – otherwise you might waste your trips there because they’re closed during their open hours.

We’ve been getting our dog groomed here for the last 3 years. Over the last 6 months we’ve been having issues. Yesterday they called several hours early asking if she could come earlier, I agreed but didn’t have time to brush her before dropping her off. ) I knew of 1 tangle since is just bathed her myself 5 days earlier ). I dropped her off and they immediately assessed an extra fee for matting. I asked them to at least look at her first. A young woman comes over with a comb, finds a tangle and runs the comb from the base of the tangle attempting to go all the way through…didn’t even try to work it out. My schnauzer yelped while I held her. I made the girl stop. But ok, no worries as I knew this wasn’t the person that would be grooming her. 2 hours later some girl called me and proceeded to aggressively and rudely tell me that my baby screamed every time they tried to groom her. That has NEVER happened before. She also said that they were charging me another fee for extra handling because of my dog’s behavior. I have no doubt they were rough with her and that’s why she screamed (she’s not a screamer by the way). When we get there to pick her up…our $50 bath and cut was now $98….she was close to shaved… there was no need to comb out the tangles if they were going to shave her, right? We will never take her back. Note: my husband once heard the new manager say that she was going to make sure they started charging the extra fees so that the groomers were paid…she said this in front of customers.

So far, so good, but of course, I only go here for glucosamine tablets for my dogs. I saw one of the employees taking the cats out to stretch their legs and give them attention, which is excellent.

They canceled the appointment I scheduled over a week ago for my senior Great Dane today because I wasn’t able to bring him up there 5 hours earlier than the originally scheduled time because the groomer didn’t have enough clients between now and then – so instead of being professional and accommodating to the clients they DO have scheduled, those clients get screwed over. I understand having a gap in clients – clock out for a few hours and come back, get someone to cover the appointment – but don’t leave paying customers and their fur babies totally screwed over. I have been to the PetSmart in Rowlett/Rockwall probably 30 times and NEVER had this issue. It is not my fault that “Nash” didn’t have enough clients, but apparently it will be my punishment and massive inconvenience because, as I explained to her, I am about to get married and needed this done WHEN SCHEDULED, because I do not have the time or ability to reschedule and get him taken care of before I go out of town for my wedding. I can’t take my 10 year old arthritic, anxious Great Dane in to be crated while he waits for the “busy” groomer to get to him. So disappointed and beyond livid.
