I go to petco in Woodbridge to adopt a cat.. I figure instead of buying a cat from a breeder I rather adopt from humane society. I see this beautiful cat named Mason, I carried him and actually bonded with him, he was so cuddling and calm I said to myself Mason is it, he’s coming home with me, I completed the adoption application with three references as require, I was told I would get a call by someone named Toni, the next day I get a call from Toni, not sure if she woke up on the wrong side of her bed, but this individual was rude, discouraging and condescending. She was trying really hard to have me adopt another cat that I’ve never seen, she proceeded to tell me that Mason comes with another cat name Kevin and that I would have to adopt both because Mason is always with Kevin, that they were together in their cage at petco, I told her Mason was not with another cat in a cage he was by himself and I’m really interested in Mason only, she tells me that she would let me know because she taking Mason to Vegas and if in case no one adopts him that she would call me. I thought they welcome people to adopt pets not discourage you and get you upset giving you attitudes. I just wanted to adopt a cat, I rather give the money to Humane Society rather than give it to breeders. Didn’t make any sense to me how all this went down. I hope and pray that Mason gets a good home. I will be contacting a breeder to get my cat friend. Thanks Toni for changing my mind.

Terrible service I took my dog and the Vet told me to wait because she was going to be fast. From 345PM I waited to 6:00PM why not tell me to come back instead of waiting because that is what they usually do. While waiting a lady was waiting on information about her medical insurance because she brought her dog to get his ears clean and he ended up coming out with a muscle damage to his leg. Becareful check your dog’s when they come out from this place. Be aware

Always coming with some random excuses to not cut my dogs nails bc he is a very anxious dog & when they do- his nails are still always sharp and or broken. My dog was not sedated at all and he always has anxiety espc when I bring him here. I gave him a trazadone 5 mins before the appt but again he takes this daily for HIS ANXIETY ! And it was not busy at 9 am, would’ve taken five mins – the groomers rude and bland behavior saying they wouldn’t do it if he was sedated was absurd – espc when they saw how anxious he was acting … one of them had his back turned the whole time but still chimed in…they don’t even know they’re own policy- it’s only if he’s showing sign of sedation or different medication. If you don’t want to do your job just say that, I told him he was on the medication out of courtesy and to make their job easier as well as the comfort for my dog. Do not recommend this store for your pets grooming needs. Anywhere else I take my dog he is happy with getting his nails trimmed/buffed.

One of the cashiers decided to follow me, my sister and my dog around the store. I truly believed it to be racial profiling. I was simply looking for clothes and a new leash. She was not helpful, and I did report her to another cashier. I would hope she had a convo with management. If I decide to shop there again and this happens again, there will be a report made !!!

The fact that my cousin sent her dog here and “the groomer” said “the hair is to close to the pink, let it grow more”, if you cannot identify what a “paw pad”… PETSMART should make sure employees handling sharp objects etc. on these fur babies, KNOW what they are doing. And employees should make sure they know ENOUGH before entering the grooming industry.

Not that a 1 star review is going to matter to them as a company.. but have to let people know, had an appointment for grooming yesterday, first call was to push the appointment back what was fine, then the next call was to cancel the appointment 20 prior to the new time scheduled.. if that wasn’t enough rescheduled it for today and received a call its canceled again..total joke.
