Lulie is a spacious tavern with interesting decor and a very comfortable ambience. It’s a great place to play some pool or catch up with friends. The upstairs bar also has a retractable roof which is perfect for summer afternoons and evenings.

Staff are all lovely and everything is well priced but the awful live music and god awful sound checks (while you are playing recorded music!) make it a no-go after 7pm unfortunately.

Great selection of drinks with interesting tap choices. Great music, but a touch too loud for us. Unfortunately our overall experience meant we probably wouldn’t come back. Average service. Overcooked, salty food. (VERY salty food). My partner ordered a chicken burger and the chicken was a deep, dark brown and tasted burnt. I ordered the vegan chicken burger and it was salty and too rich. The vegan chicken was hard and unpleasant. The coleslaw dressing tasted like sour tahini, which was unexpected and didn’t compliment the other flavours of the burger. The chips were too salty. Both of us didn’t finish our meals. BUT, we really enjoyed the burger buns (very soft and delicious) and the drinks were priced well. It was a shame because I really wanted to like this place!
