Here's a summary of the most recent reviews on The Pet Community Lulie Tavern seems to be the talk of the town, with its vibrant atmosphere and quirky cowboy theme that regulars can't get enough of. It's the perfect spot for a catch-up with mates, especially with its retractable roof ideal for those balmy summer evenings. The tavern's live music scene is buzzing, earning it praise for supporting the local music vibe. When it comes to grub, the burgers are the star of the show, with many describing them as 'insane' and 'top notch.' Fancy a game of pool? It's on the house, adding to the venue's cool dive bar persona. Sure, not everyone's singing from the same hymn sheet – a few folks reckon the service could do with a spruce up and the live music isn't everyone's cuppa. Yet, with friendly bar staff, dog-friendly nods, and those picklebacks that keep popping up in the conversation, Lulie Tavern is a spot that's got a lot of hearts beating to the rhythm of its own drum. Staff are all lovely and everything is well priced but the awful live music and god awful sound checks (while you are playing recorded music!) make it a no-go after 7pm unfortunately.

Real fun place. Has a nice outdoor nook next to the dance floor and an awesome outdoor area at the front. Great bar staff. All round fun place.

Lulie Tavern, a wonderful, spacious place for casual beverages and fantastic live music. The booker is a bona fide champion. Thank you for supporting true live music in an age where Melbourne/society is sending it to the endangered species list

Great selection of drinks with interesting tap choices. Great music, but a touch too loud for us. Unfortunately our overall experience meant we probably wouldn’t come back. Average service. Overcooked, salty food. (VERY salty food). My partner ordered a chicken burger and the chicken was a deep, dark brown and tasted burnt. I ordered the vegan chicken burger and it was salty and too rich. The vegan chicken was hard and unpleasant. The coleslaw dressing tasted like sour tahini, which was unexpected and didn’t compliment the other flavours of the burger. The chips were too salty. Both of us didn’t finish our meals. BUT, we really enjoyed the burger buns (very soft and delicious) and the drinks were priced well. It was a shame because I really wanted to like this place!
