Did an amazing job on our old girl. She was very anxious to go in and they did an amazing shave on her and got her in and out. She is a large dog and it was a very fair price. She is acting like a puppy again after her big hair cut!

Couldn’t recommend highly enough! They really do go the extra mile for my nervous boy, and both my dogs always come back looking and smelling great. My girl has quite a bit of undercoat, and it’s amazing how much fur comes out with a de-shed.

Dog was groomed (average quality, could be better, especially on the head) and returned back with a scissor scratch in one eye. Eye was totally red and most of the time closed. Very upset and unexpected as been one of the most expensive groomers in the region. Veterinarian cost was fully covered, as expected, but still I needed to pay for the full “service”.

We understand how upsetting this is for you.
As per our phone call to you on the day Leia was groomed, we noticed she was squinting after her bath but before her groom.
During her groom she was not happy about having her face/head done, we assume this was due to her irritated eye. We groomed her to the best of our ability trying not to stress her anymore than needed.
We called you while she was at the salon to inform you she had a squinty eye and we were unsure what has caused Leia to have the irritation, however, the most likely cause was due to shampoo – which is extremely uncommon but can happen.
We advised you that it would be best that she has a visit to the vet for it to be checked.
Hills Grooming covered all cost involved.
This was definitely NOT caused by scissors as suggested in your review. Hills Grooming has been advised by the treating vet that Leia had superficial corneal irritation most likely from accidental shampoo irritation to the eye. The vet confirmed that the cornea had not been damaged by scissors, the presentation not being consistent with that type of injury.
We called the following day and spoke with Nathalie to check how Leia was going.
A follow up call was also made to the veterinary hospital, we were informed her eye has healed well.
I called earlier last week and left a message asking either of you to please call me. I have not received a phone call back.
We are more than happy to redo Leia’s head/face now that her eye isn’t sore.
Again, we are sincerely sorry this has happened.

My border collie is old, moody, terrified of water and hadn’t had a professional groom in years. To say I was nervous about how she would go is an understatement.
Helpful ReviewFrom the first phone call I was immediately put at ease, I was given plenty of options and costs ahead of time so I could work out what would work best for us and our budget.
We received an sms the day before, confirming the time which is a nice touch.
Once we arrived, our dog understandably freaked out, however her groomer (Elizabeth) was able to distract her and calm her down. We once again confirmed that we wanted the full works, Elizabeth gave us a time estimate and told us they would be in touch when she was done.
Was pleasantly surprised to get an sms notifying us that she was ready earlier than expected and when we arrived were told that our dog had actually fallen asleep! Elizabeth also gave us some tips to help us between grooms.
We are so happy with the results, all cleaned up had our dog looking like a puppy again and I absolutely loved the bandana they put on her. Thanks again!
