We have used Judith’s excellent kennels many times over the years . I am very happy to recommend her to friends whenever I’m asked for a recommendation for kennels .

I spoke with Sudhir this morning, he tells me he was here for aproximately 30 minutes. My cameras show him arriving at 5.26 pm and leaving 5.33 pm. Did not follow instructions and walked in with 3 other people and dog then left before I had time to attend.

I have now been taking my dog to Appy Kennels for nearly four years. This is not just a business as Judith really loves dogs and will go above and beyond to make sure your dog is well cared for and will not take any aggressive dogs. Excellent kennels! My GSP has boarded here many times. I would not go anywhere else. The dogs are very well looked after. They also get lots of exercise.

My sister recently entrusted her beloved Poodle to Appy Kennels, two weeks later they called my sister and informed her that her poodle had die. They made no attempt to call a vet or my sister, when the dog was showing signs of being in distress. A clear case of duty of care failure. Therefore, if you love your pet and you need to go way, my advise is get family or friends to look after your pet.

Appy Kennels was one of the best maintained kennels I have been to in Perth. Their kennels are always clean and smell fresh, its not as noisy as other kennels, their green spaces for the dogs are large and free and the staff are really friendly.

There’s lots of room for the dogs to run and it’s very clean and well maintained.
I send my labradoodle to Judith for doggy day care (and occasionally for boarding) and I know he’s going to have fun, be safe and well cared for. Sometimes he doesn’t seem to want to come home…

This kennel only takes breeds that they decide are appropriate. Which means if your dog is aggression tested and not reactive in the slightest they will not take them based on their biased opinions.

Super experience here boarding our German Shepherd. Great to have a kennel that allows and encourages dogs of similar size to play together. It takes more care from the Kennel management, but results in a far happier dog.

Our dog Shep did a very silly thing today while boarding with Judith which could have caused very serious consequences for him. But due to Judiths vigilance and quick thinking we will go home tomorrow to a healthy but very tired dog. I would never leave him with any other kennel for his holiday. He has been going there for 11 years and still gets excited when you mention doggy day care. Thankyou Judith

I have boarded my 2 dogs here for years. Will do in the future as well. It’s good that you can inspect the kennels before you leave your dogs, so you know where they’ll be sleeping and playing. Will use this kennels again

This place is wonderful so much room for the dogs to play and very clean. The dogs are not locked up all day. The owner impressed me she had 30 dogs and new everyones name.

We were incredibly happy with our experience at Appy Kennels. We are currently traveling and our whippet cross stayed for two days of ‘doggy daycare’ while we explored Perth. In the past our dog has experienced some terrible separation anxiety, so imagine our surprise when she didn’t seem at all distressed when we picked her up the first day, and then excitedly pulled us TOWARD the kennels on the second day, ready to see her new friends!! Obviously Judith loves the dogs and the fact that they get to spend most of the day socialising in the huge outdoor area makes this kennel experience a great one. Would happily recommend to anyone!

My name is Judith and I am the proud owner of ‘Appy Kennels & Creche. I have decided that it is time for me to voice my opinion regarding the negative comments that have been made against me and my kennels and grooming.
I have built these kennels from the ground up through my own vision & passion over the last six years and I have been successful, not just because of my dedication to the care of your beloved dogs but also through the experiences of my customers. A lot of my customers come to ‘Appy Kennels through word of mouth recommendations from people who have had a positive experience here. I am ‘appy’ to say that the positives far outweigh the negatives.
As ‘Appy Kennels is operated on my own property I am very strict regarding my opening hours as this is my ‘down time’ and the kennels are not run as a 24/7 business. I am open from 8-10am and 3-6pm, 7 days a week and these hours are clearly marked on the property gates and also my website. Any business conducted outside of these hours is done so by appointment only and incurs a $20 fee. If you change your booking details, whether by email or phone msg, I will assume that you are coming within my opening hours unless otherwise mentioned and agreed upon.
I believe in positive reinforcement and ensuring all dogs are happy on my property. If I think a dog will not fit in successfully I suggest the owner finds a kennel which is more suitable for their dog. There are many kennels in the Canning Vale area and we all operate differently so I encourage the dog owner to shop around to find the ‘right fit’.
I have an open door policy here at ‘Appy so when the kennels are open I am happy to show people around the property so they can experience the atmosphere I’ve created for the dogs. What they notice is how happy the dogs are. They run, they play, they bark. They’re dirty and racing up and down the compounds having a ball! We sometimes do lose collars or collars get broken because of this play, it happens. They will even see them sitting in the big water bowls we provide for drinking (this has been so popular with the pooches that I had to put normal water bowls in the compounds so they actually drink the water instead of play in it!). I would love to have manicured lawns but it’s impossible to tame the dogs when they’re having so much fun (ie digging, running etc).
The dogs don’t just ‘appear’ happy, they ARE happy. Please take the time to have a look at the photo gallery on my website as proof of this. Studio Noah captured these moments during the dog’s regular, daily exercise time (I try to maintain at least 6 hours every day for them but of course it depends on the weather) for all to see and they truly are a reflection of the ‘Appy philosophy. ‘Appy Yappy Doo, We’re On Holiday Too!
When you drop off your dog you are required to sign a contract. This protects all parties. Where medication is concerned I’m very mindful of how important it is to administer the correct dose at the correct time. This is also a requirement of the contract. All medication is kept in the food preparation area and administered when food is being prepared. There are instructions in this area and also on the kennel doors. Information regarding medications can be found on my website under ‘Things You Should Know’.
I’m also a stickler for cleanliness and every used kennel and walkway is washed and disinfected daily with a product designed for dog kennels purchased from Tucker Time for Dogs. I chose to have cream walls in the kennels so that when they get dirty they can be scrubbed clean and kept fresh and not just painted a dark colour so any staining can be ignored.
