They even warned me that a potentially aggressive dog was coming in to give me time to move with my dog to a different area in the waiting room, which was much appreciated. I am very happy with Vetwest in Canningvale. After living in one area for over 40 years we were used to taking our pets to two local veterinarians in our area. Now living near Canning vale for over four years we had decided to support local businesses. We have found vetwest canning vale to be ideal. From the first phone contact, to the visits and consultations with our now elderly border collie Jack we find all staff friendly. The vets and nurses make themselves available to listen and to proceed accordingly with patience and respect, making us feel assured and relaxed. The Team at Vetwest Canning Vale are incredible. Absolutely best quality service from the first person you speak to all the way to the vet. Our pets always get the best care and we get the best advice. They know us and our pets by name which makes a huge difference. We had our senior dog Hagrid with them and they were amazing with his care right up until he passed away due to old age. We have our other dogs with them too. One is a senior at 9 and the other is a puppy at 6 months. We feel our pets could not be in better hands during all stages of their life. We also take advantage of their Wellness Plan which sends flea and worm treatment to our door and gives us free vet consults for a monthly fee. It is a small price to pay for piece of mind. All staff have seen us at our happiest when things are going well and at our worst when our dog Hagrid had to be put down and at all times they have been caring, professional and courteous. Amazing people and would recommend this practice to any animal lovers out there!

This is my first time to write a review, I had a shocking experience when our dog was attacked by a bigger dog and left him passed out on the footpath during our morning walk.

All the staff Vetwest Canning Vale are very caring to our dog (special thanks to Nurse Danielle who was with him throughout the surgery and also thank you Nurse Emma for your loving care for our dog). Our dog has made such an incredible fast recovery considering the injury he had, thank you so much Vetwest Canning Vale.

This is the best vet clinic I’ve ever been to! The clinic itself is always spotless and everyone there treats my cat Merlin with the utmost care. Dr Fiona is incredible – she has diagnosed and treated Merlin with a condition that isn’t the easiest thing to manage, but her knowledge has helped get him back to normal, all while trying to keep the costs as low as possible. She is definitely the friendliest, most welcoming vet we’ve ever been to and I’m extremely grateful for her.

I drive an hour and a half round trip to visit this VET because they are all round amazing. Look I
The whole team are wonderful when I had my cat there. They listen to our request to help my cat out.
They left a good gesture sending a card to me, when my cat passed away. It meant a lot.

Honestly, friendliest team and really helpful for the entire time I was there. Very informative and more then happy to talk pricing, options and go through how different things work and why they would suit. Vet was very professional and caring and really put the effort in to see what was wrong and what we could look into doing about the issue.
The team was so friendly that at one point a different vet walked in and she had the wrong room. But she stopped to say hello and give my dog a cuddle and ask what was wrong and then went about her business. There was even brochures on specialists and recommendations outside of their practice on things that would be helpful to my dog as well.
Just completely blown away – would 100% recommend.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at Vetwest Canning Vale. Since our beautiful little Cavoodle was attacked a number of weeks ago, and left with quite extensive wounds, we have been looked after exceptionally well. I do not believe Bella would be recovering nearly as well or as quickly as she is without the level of genuine care and concern she has been shown here. Add to this the wonderful way we as a family have been treated and it can only be described as a truly positive experience during what has been a very stressful time. My 11 year old daughter, who witnessed the attack and felt quite traumatised by it, is particularly grateful for how lovely everyone has been to her and how well the staff explained everything they were doing to help her best friend. 😊

I have never in my life had a more terrible experience at a Vet.
Helpful ReviewI took my boxer who is 20kgs in weight in as she suffers from Pancreatitis. My usual vet was not open, and my pup was showing signs of a flare up (ongoing condition). I had a consult with the vet and explained her condition and what treatment my vet usually used which was always effective. Although my pup was uncomfortable she was wagging her tail and happy.
After trying to sell me a quote of over 690 dollars of medical treatment, I declined and asked again for them to administer what my dog had been given in the past for her flare ups. This was agreed upon and then they went ahead and gave her a shot of methadone and an anti nausea shot, which was not agreed upon but was what I had been charged for on my invoice.
I took my dog home and immediately knew something had gone terribly wrong, I checked my invoice and saw what they had given her. My dog at this stage, a three year old boxer could not even walk and was losing fluid like I have never seen before from her mouth. She then lost all control of her bowel and literally fell sideways on my tiles. I picked her up and took her straight back down there and demanded to see the vet. By this stage I was absolutely terrified. A nurse took her out the back and told me that they would get the vet to have another look at her. The vet then came back in and stated that she did not know my dog had never had methadone (nor did she ask, as we had never agreed to that pain relief) and that she was sorry. My pup again who was brought in initially, happy but uncomfortable was now very sick due to the drugs that had been administered to her at Vet West Canning Vale. My boxer spent five hours then at the hospital getting the IV fluids that she had lost throughout the ordeal, pumped back into her body. This is an absolute disgrace and anyone that has a dog and loves them with all their heart would agree an absolute nightmare. I would advise you all to use anyone other than this Vet if your own Vet is not open on a Sunday. It was a terrible experience for myself and I can only imagine what my poor little pup must have gone through. I believe all of this could have been avoided, had they of just listened to me on what had previously worked for my dog on all other occasions regarding her condition

I find you get what you pay for & that is excellent customer service, I actually feel like all the staff & vets do care about my dogs health & well being. I have always found them all understanding & caring. I have taken my pets to vet west Canningvale for 10+ years & wouldn’t want them to go anywhere else. I have other vets closer to where I live now but choose to drive that bit further for the service I get.

I recieved the worst customer service ever. When entering the clinic no one even got up from the desk to great me or my pet. The staff did not know my pets name, I was asked to weigh my pet and still no one got up from behind the desk to check the weight they just remained seated and waiting for me to tell them the weight. I was extremely disheartened and felt my pet recieved the worst care. I will not be coming back.

The only disappointing aspect of using Vetwest in Canningvale, while we live nearby, is that the phone number 9404- is situated at a north of river telephone exchange. Therefore all our phone calls are treated as National phone calls charged at a higher rate than local calls. For instance an 8 minute call to Vetwest in Canningvale is $3.00, when we live not 5 minutes away from surgery.
