We had to make some heart wrenching decisions with our beautiful Rotti but we were so grateful to Bronwyn and her team for providing us with all the information, being realistic and working out the best course of action for when the time came. Finding a vet that easily connects with your beloved pet, one that they actually want to visit and who is not intimidated by their size or manner, fair on pricing for services, and have all the resources (x-ray & ultrasound) to offer informed advice … that’s a treasure. Very rude and poor service by the vet Rob. He called me a liar and refused to let me talk to my husband about our dog so that he could have all the information.
I decided to take my dog to another vet and found out he was actually very sick and needed urgent help.
I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want a through service for your pets. It felt as if I was just being used to give him money.

Started going to Lockyer Ave Vet a couple years ago and haven’t looked back. I take both my cats here and I’ve also taken stray cats to locate their owners. Always helpful, friendly and very knowledge staff.

I took my dog in to be seen by the male vet. The office staff and nurses were amazing. Unfortunately that couldn’t be said for the vet. I was lectured about poor training and how my dog ruled the roost. He was very dismissive and rude. As symptoms continued I demanded that my husband come to the vet. 4 weeks later when we had the tough decision to put my dog to sleep. The Vet didn’t sedate the dog, and our dog howled in pain as the injection was given and afterwards. We watched in horror. The Vet said the nurse will be in shortly to put the dog in a garbage bag. I am still mortified at our treatment.

We are in town on holidays and visited on an emergency visit due to our 10 month old puppy having an allergic reaction to a bee sting.
Helpful ReviewHis symptoms included an almost instaneous irritable rash, swollen face, extreme agitation and aggressiveness to the stung area.
Upon our arrival we were met by two vet nurses at front of house who were absolutely wonderful and told that we would be seen to shortly.
Not a problem with either of the two ladies they were caring, attentive and empathetic to our situation.
The one star review is provided purely for the service that was received by the gentleman vet.
Upon entering the consultation room our puppy’s agitation and anxiety was at peak levels with the symptoms of the bee sting causing duress.
When it became apparent that our puppy was not going to co-operate with the administration of the needle medication, the Vet spoke to us in a belittling and condescending tone.
When we sought assistance in calming our agitated puppy down we were told there is no assistance I can provide in the next two minutes and that we should seek obedience training for our puppy (we have completed RSPCA training, our puppy was in pain and understandably not listening to our commands).
Once it became apparent that the needle would be unable to be administered we were provided an oral medication and dismissed.
I have never in a social or professional environment been made to feel as belittled, humiliated and patronized to as this vet made us feel.
With no assistance provided for what we should do in a similar future scenario we will be required to seek further assistance from our local vet.

This is a place whose vets care, not just a dog – my dog, not just an animal but a much loved pet. I have no hesitation in recommending this Practice, I know you will not be disappointed. Cost alot less than I thought too:)
